My wife rarely wears make up.

She occasionally puts on some eye liner. Lipstick less often... about once a year as far as I have noticed.

I don't think that she possesses anything else.

My missus stopped wearing makeup shortly after we got married. Stopped wearing nice clothes too. Nevermind. I've still got the memories. Sadly my missus is one of those people that looks better with makeup, as far as I'm concerned anyway. Not that there's anything wrong with her when she's not wearing makeup (before you all start!)

Hmmm, yes I think I could agree with that. I guess some men may not want their woman caked in it, but I can't believe any man actually thinks their woman looks better without any make up at all.

Even so, it's really up to a woman how much she wants, and shouldn't be dictated to on how much she should wear.

The reason I say I am suspicious of men saying they think their woman looks better with no make up is because I have known men in the past who tell their girlfriend/wife that they don't need make up, when they definitely look better with it, and when the woman went deeper into the reasons why; it turned out it was because he didn't want her looking too attractive in case other men look at her.

A woman I used to know had a brother who was very controlling and made his girlfriend stay at a size 6, and she could never wear make up, because 'only sluts wear make up' he said. So she looked like an anorexic ghost for 3 years. Then when they split, she gained 3 stone, went up to a size 14, and wore the make up she wanted to wear, and she looked soooo much better!

This sums up so many girls in my home town, but caked with dead white foundation! Obviously the controlling boyfriend part is awful (and believe me I've been there) but anorexic ghosts? That's amazing :rotfl::rotfl:

  • I'm disabled, and I once had another woman come up and say to me (when I was all dressed up to the nines for a wedding): "Your walking's got a lot worse, but you're not looking so bad in your face at the moment..."

I'm usually quite a peaceful soul, but I wanted to shove her straight into the lake behind where we were standing!

My advice would be: if someone is disabled then avoid commenting on any aspect of their disability - trust me, they will already know all about that! - but say something nice about some other feature. Even just "I love that hat, it really suits you" will do.

    :D

The answer to the question 'does my bum look big in this' is NOT 'hang on, let me just move back so I can get it all in my field of view'

When I last asked my husband this question, his reply was "Your bum looks big in everything!"

It's not a good idea to quote the calorie content of unhealthy food as your partner/wife is devouring them either! He last did this about 7 hours ago when I was standing at the fridge stuffing my face with Galaxy Counters. The thing is, I know it's not a good idea, I know it's going to make my bum bigger and I don't need reminding, thank you very much!

Here are 3 things an ex of mine used to say to me that you probably should say to a woman ever. In fact men probably wouldn't appreciate 2 of them either.

    1) He used to tag the word "actually" on to the end of sentences. For example, "You look nice..actually," as though me looking nice was an unexpected surprise.

    2) "I'm not sure you can use that word in that way," which was promptly followed by him checking the dictionary. Only for him to always end up saying, "Oh, it means that as well."

    3) The pièce de r!sistance...."That's not how my mum does it." :rotfl:

We went out on the lash last night and had a bit too much to drink! When she woke up i told her she looked rough and she said "well, that's better than looking cheap" :rotfl:
