  • Hello,

I have not been good at keeping up with the forum or making money! I used a £1.53 money off voucher at Tesco so that makes my total £11.53. Must do better! Plan is to go to disc exchange and put stuff on ebay this weekend.

It's great motivation reading what others have been doing :)

now the secret to it is, http://opticians.superdrug.com/info/frame-measurements/

what I suggested to a friend, is go into an opticians, try on some frames you like, write down the frame number and then buy online with that and your prescription. you can always goto the optician locally and ask them to make any minor adjustments for you.

have a good read of FAQs and t and c. if you don't fancy it,

I detest specsavers particularly my local. vision express care good but expensive.

why don't you sign up for a nectar card. there's money to be made online so doesn't matter if you don't buy at sainsburys.

I stopped going to Specsavers because of the horrendous customer service I experienced, but their prices/deals are pretty good. My best friend likes Boots, which gives you advantage card points and is good value for money. I currently go to Vision Express, which is cheap for me (only get one pair though) and you can get nectar points. I got a pair of frames from their cheapest range and I'm very happy with both the style and quality. I definitely recommend Vision Express, but would probably go to Boots if it wasn't 25 miles away — especially as I have an advantage card and no nectar card!
  • Sorry ive been so quiet, been so busy but have just counted up where im at
P1inecone - £3, Bagged change - £5, found some scratchcards in the cupboard that id forgot about so counting that too £12 have just redeemed £5 Amazon from SB and have a whole 7p in interest :rotfl:
    Total so far - £23.07

Have also requested £50 cb from Plusnet so hoping that comes through for this month. Still plodding along with SB, very slow going though. Have got 490 points on LP and nearly £4 on Onepu1se and near cashout on Consumer pu1se too :j Been waiting an age for some cb from TCB so hope that clears soon.

Well done to everyone so far, still plenty of the month left :)

Off to go see if theres anything in PA - must do more of those

  • Listed another item on ebay and sold one for £4.99 plus £3.50 postage so he paid £8.49 - of which I got £8.00 from Paypal and ebay will take £.85. By the time Royal Mail get their £3.30 - I'll be left with £3.85 - so that's my total for today

Course by the time I've spent an hour packing it and another biking to the Post Office (Can't use the car at these numbers) that won't look very exciting !

    However, it's money and it's a start - I'll get better ! :rotfl:

looks like the cashback amount has dropped to $7 now
  • £2.20 super market savings, coupons and vouchers.....

Really struggling to get going this month.

In the plus aside managed to shop around and get a better deal on car insurance and the car service is much less than I feared .....so around £400 less to pay out than I had budgeted for so all good.
