    well done CBC

just had a notification. made another sale on eBay.

restoring my computer back to win 8.1 as win 10 keeps crashing on me and I can't print wirelessly. plus I use myhermes for eBay so I can track my items. not helpful when laptop loses WiFi and printer has no software for win10 so can't print! I have to plug it in which defeats purpose of WiFi printer

also had letter back from Barclay's saying can't find PPI Lois, surprise surprise. luckily there is a thread on mse about my PPI and a helpful address to write to. but now need to go buy stamps lol

keep trying to get onto this royal mail thing where you get paid in stamps but don't want me :(

Well done on the eBay sale. Every little helps, as they say:T

Technology problems are so annoying, I've lost count of all the hours wasted on sorting things out. Technology is supposed to save us time but when it goes wrong it goes wrong with a vengeance:(. You must have had much more hassle than me as you seem very into all the devices whilst I just stick to a laptop and its peripherals. I'm still running Windows 7 and haven't had too many issues with it so far. I like to keep things simple:o

I used to do the postal survey for the stamps that you mentioned, Aesop. You do it for 6 months on and 6 months off (not sure of the exact time scales) and I had a few goes at it. Sadly, being very rural and having to post a lot of the things (packages etc) on specific days/times at a post office (we only have a small postbox in our village:() I was having to use a lot of petrol doing a round trip of 11 miles every time. Wasn't working out as cost-effective for me , although I loved doing it, so I asked to be taken off the list. I just do the regular received-items surveys now instead which are paid in vouchers.

Sorry about Barclays but not exactly surprised:(. With Lloyds (my own bugbear) they are well-known for being inefficient and unhelpful. Best of luck with your claims:beer:.

I'm always looking out for all sorts of books:rotfl:, reading is my main hobby and by using the library and charity shops/carboots it's a nice cheap one:j. Plus, there's the bonus of then selling on anything I buy so it's a win-win.

Charity shops are in danger of pricing themselves out of the market in many cases. I know they are desperate for money but, especially in the case with books, they seem to have the same ones on the shelves for ages and then only have to have a 'sale' to get rid of them.
I'm the same - love reading and use the library mainly. Quite good here and happy to get books in from around the county. We have a surfeit of charity shops here and prices seem to vary soo much. There are a couple that sell them for around £2 or less - or sometimes three for £5.

I agree with you about technology as well - I'm still on Windows 7 and my lap-top, and am really not very technical. I am seriously worried what I'm going to do if I have to up-grade - probably give up :rotfl:

Made just £2.25 on surveys today so it's all in the go-slow lane atm. Fingers xd it picks up soon.

Well done those making monies and hope you all have a super weekend

  • Well done, all:beer:

I keep hoping for the 100 free listings too but never get the offer. Knowing my dislike of eBay these days I probably wouldn't make much use of them if I got them so I shouldn't really grumble:o. Good Luck with getting all that listing done, Aesop:beer:. Sending you positive vibes for selling everything you list.

No money made here recently (this is dire:() but have just done a YouGov survey and am now only 50 points short of the £50 payout:j. That's just one more survey at the usual 50 points per survey rate. Bring it on:T

    Have a good money-making weekend, everyone:beer:

  • I totally agree with you about charity shops overpricing, carbootcrazy. Walked from shop to shop down my high street this morning and one was selling quite used tops for £5.99 or £6.99 each! I was shocked- I'd think carefully about buying a new one at that price, let alone a second hand, non-designer one. At boot sales, you can get amazing bargains with clothes for 50p or £1.

Made £135 from extra work this week. Good start, but the rest of the month won't be so easy. I have at least £40 in my Shop & Scan account, but trying to save that up and not take it out just yet.
