I paid near £8 at Focus a few weeks ago for this foil!

Got a pair of curtains for the landing window (€6)to-day in charity shop, also a kilo or so of pale blue wool for €3, enough to make a blanket when I get round to it, pleased with my purchases, have to stay out of that place as I keep buying things as they are so cheap.

Wind whistling through here at a rate of knots to-night...OH had heating on for hours earlier, until I noticed that he had it on constant and promptly turned it off...I know that he is feeling the cold while not well, but he could put the **oody thing on a timed hour or something that I wouldn't have to sort out...money saving not his thing even if he enjoys the benefits!

Evening everyone..

Well the experiment goes on Hubby is sat here in just a pair of shorts again... he swears blind i must have the heating on :rotfl: .... Nope I just keep shutting all the doors... heck it warms up quick in here.. Just wait until I have finished my draught excluders

The work on my knitted patchwork blanket has ground to a stand still for a couple of days.. My left arm keeps going "dead" the Dr says the muscle in the back of my shoulder has set solid so I had a prescription for 2 lots of tablets, some gel (thankfully I don't pay for them out here :j ) and tomorrow I get to have injections in it..ohhh joy :rolleyes: ..perhaps then I can get back on with my knitting :T .. Its not that i NEED the blanket -I have loads of fleece blankies -but im loving creating this one myself If it comes out ok -Im going to start early in the new year and make one for my mum
right better get off and get a bit more "listing" done:D

skintt cat its just called radiator foil its goodstuff. its thin but tough and easy to cut to size. comes with sticky pads. really easy to fit.

in store it was near pipe lagging ,hot water tank jackets etc. its in a roll 500mm x 4m was £8.99 i think but not on bogof. 500mm x 1.2m was £4.99 bogof enough for 2 radiators i would say. depending on how many you want to do 4m might work out cheaper because of less waste coz 2.4m at £4.99 is about same price if you know what i mean

The foil sounds like a great idea - do you have to take the radiator off to fit it?

ooh mrs Mc you have my sympathy 6 months of neck shoulder pain and still waiting for my MRI appointment it affects my arm too
