you leave the radiator on the wall! the foil is really thin. its very easy to fit, a little kid could do it, especially one who watches Blue Peter nd is handy with sticky-tape and sticky back plastic. LOL"The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

Hi shaz
ThanksI had to go back to the Drs today and he mentioned sorting out a neurologist appointment (for a long term complaint I have)..gave me a slip of paper to give to the receptionist..a couple of taps on a PC and my appoint is in under 2 weeks  ... I bought three hot water bottles yesterday at our local chemist, for £3:59 each. I'll get another couple next week, & then maybe even more after that  In my defence, I'm considering Iggie in all of this, & she will need lots of constant heat if we lose power. I thought it would be far easier to have maybe 4 HWB so we can be using two at a time & the other two are ready for swapping without having to remove all the heat whilst water is boiled etc.
I've noticed the windows are beginning to mist up in the car now, so must try to get out there with a cut potato to rub over the windscreens.Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Ditto the above!!
I've heard of a bar of soap, but not a potato!0 -
I've heard of using a spud but never tried it - I'm guessing it would leave some sort of film/slight smear.
I've heard of shampoo on mirrors too.

Right, I'm sat here on a travelling rug with a fleece over my knees, furry-type slippers on,a heated up barley-bag on my lap,a thick cardigan, and fingerless gloves also a balaclava. but my heating, precious oil, is OFF:j"The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

I haven't got the barley bag,hat or gloves but I'm exactly the same, and no heating.By December I'll probably need the balaclava though. We're all going to end up like Steptoe and son at this rate.0
