    New targets for this month:
    7 no spend days
    Save £400
Sell some stuff and make some Money £200 target
    Kon Marie 70 items.
That will do to be going on with.

Managed 4 no spend days and a few low spend days.
I beat the save £400 target.
Missed the making £200 target by a mile- been far to busy with work and other commitments.
Got rid of loads of stuff when gutting the bedroom.

So not too bad and the month isn't quite over yet. :)
I even managed an overpayment on the mortgage. :)

Not bad at all, Tattycath :T.

I was sure I replied to your spa-day-on-your-own post, that's strange. What I said was that I've been to spa days on my own and with friends and both are equally enjoyable. On your own, you can decide exactly what you want to do with your day, have a snooze, have a dip in the pool or jacuzzi, go for a stroll, do what you like and totally, totally relax. So don't discount it just because you don't have anyone you would invite to go with you.

And forgive me if this is too personal a question - but do you really have no friends - or just none nearby?

That's a very good question. I have lots of acquaintances, I had friends who live back where I am from originally, but we haven't seen each other for so long and I often feel that if I don't make contact, they don't. So I feel they are moving towards being acquaintances or its out of sight out of mind. :(
It's a bit sad really. I just don't feel there is anyone totally there for me, at the moment I don't suppose I'm a good friend either as I'm so up to my eyes with stuff that I don't have much free time to be there for others either. So I feel I'm in a bit of a catch 22.

    Right, another day. :)
Did some Christmas shopping this weekend, not feeling very Christmassy as yet, but it is still November.
It'll be strange this year for us, so not sure how it will pan out as yet.
Still got lots more presents to buy and wrap.
Need to gut the house, it's a mess just now. Can't put any Christmas decorations up until it's sorted. December is gonna be a busy month. :)

Need to start making lists this month, I'm getting very forgetful. :(
So, when I get time, which won't be yet for a few hours, I'm going to sort out my December plan of action. :)
I have made serious inroads with my EF. I just hope I can manage not to have to spend it yet for a while. I have decided to try and concentrate on my EF more than mortgage overpayments at this moment in time.
Right, lots to do, today is so busy I'm likely to meet myself coming back!

It's a shame that there's no-one there for you right now. I wouldn't worry too much about being a good friend as such - everyone has their patches of ups and downs and you are going through a tough demanding time at the moment. Your friends should be looking after you and I am sure they are not expecting you to have a great deal of time and energy. I hope that you are getting some support from them (dodgy hug on its way) :grouphug:.

It can be hard to keep in close contact with people who live far away, it's quite a lot of effort and will inevitably mean far less frequent meet-ups. I think everyone needs local friends, just for a bit of light relief, a drink, a meal, a chat. Even if you don't talk about anything deep and meaningful, I think being with girl-friends is always immensely entertaining and a distraction from everyday concerns. I hope you have people you can do that with.

It'll be busy up to a point, but hopefully there will be some rest and relaxation once the main Christmas prep is done. Are you busier work-wise at this time of year?

I'm not feeling very Christmassy myself - I tried doing a bit of Christmas shopping a while ago but bought nothing except one calendar. Still, I'm sure I'll get in the mood at some point.

Don't overdo things. Are you having people round to yours for Christmas? If you're not, then the house isn't a massive priority is it?

And in your next post you say you are getting forgetful - that is because you have so much going on - all that stuff can't stay in one head. Just write everything down, all the time :).

    Take care of yourself :).
