    Hello everyone!!

    b5mhph.jpg

sorry for the tardy appearance...welcome September and welcome to all the little nsds waiting to fling themselves happily and wholeheartedly into our bubbling, ever hungry cauldron!Yay! 19mp89.jpg

This is going to be a great month....we are going to have a fab break at the lovely health spa.We will relax, replenish, eat, drink,be merry, dance, sing, frolic through the fields of wildflowers and return home serene and relaxed.

There shall be no disaster...take note:

Hubert:no leaky nappies, and make sure you can walk in those blinkin stiletoes this time!
Cheffie:no boom boom or ak47 allowed
Igor plus rucksack of chef's knives and 'Fanny Craddock meets The Hairy Naked Chefs' Volume 17 - 21:enough said.
Helga:bring your own razor this time (note for any newbies:Helga is bearded).
Helga's voles (beard dwelling): we are not amused by your youthful bravado.Bunch of hooligans.
    Helga's beard:see above.
Igor and his chest wig: try not to drop it in my cup of tea please. That's all I ask.
Nargle and her Jimmy Chew Spongebob collection:no,you can't take them all.Even the tardis doesn't have room for 58 pairs of shoes.
Note to self:don't forget to pack secret stash of gin, valium and the lovely gallon of Fuzzy Navel.

Igor:I'm putting you in charge of the vittels. That's right,we want emergency portions of sprouts curry and a few dozen pilchard mini quiches for the journey, just in case someone is dying of hunger.

Mrs Doyle:you'll be on hand with tea and a few dozen egg sarnies.

Cheffie: please just try and control the shrimp!

    Ok people: any questions?
  • Has someone warned Cheffie that he shouldn't make his famous garlic chicky chicky bork?
marmite - don't worry about Chef using the forbidden garlic, he is having a complete rest from cooking during our stay at Igor's uncle's place. Igor will be taking over the kitchen, with the assistance of Hubert and Mrs Doyle. Though I suspect Chef will not be able to resist shoving his ginormous moustachioed hooter into things, so be ready for fireworks.

    Phew,that is a relief!

I'm still recovering from his inspired take on the yummy, chocolatey, rich and creamy, calorie laden Italian pudding:tiramoosu.....

The question is,indeed, can the large Swedish hooter stay out of trouble?

  • Thank you so much for the welcome! I look forward trying to sneak the coffee past Mrs Doyle ☕️

I too look forward to seeing you try to turn down the umpteenth cup of tea, along with a plate of egg sarnies and slice of fruit cake.Mrs Doyle doesn't willingly take no for an answer. It is rather amusing to watch... :rotfl:
Hi, please may I join :)

I would love to achieve 10 NSD's this month and aim for 3 in a row if that is ok :)

    I can't wait - I need all the extra motivation I can get :)

Hi and welcome!I hope you enjoy the challenge. :money:
Now just have a seat, and Mrs Doyle will be over in a jiffy with some tea.

Now to do some more packing....shoes.....46 pairs so far, now where to stash the other 12......I think I will use this old suitcase lying around here...should get the remaining 12 pairs in if I just chuck out these gin bottles, and what's this? Fuzzy Navel? Yeuch! I could creosote the fence with that, that is definitely going ....that's a much better use of an old suitcase, storing 12 pairs of sequinned Spongebob Chewy Jims.

  • Not my gin please,my lovely gin......wails are heard......

alright, alright, you can use my suitcase.See if I care. marmite saunters off casually to fetch her extra large rucksack (yes, the Everest one),hoping against hope that it will be large enough for her stash.

Was told today that I have 4 more unpaid training sessions (3 of which mean OH and I have to cancel our weekend away this coming weekend :( ), and then I'm officially on payroll from Wednesday of next week :T

Don't know how many hours I'll be getting yet though - he starts you off with about 20 (which won't cover the bills I can't do anything about, so I need to speak to my mortgage people to see if they'll let me go interest only for a few months :o) and then builds up as you get to speed and prove you can cope with the hours. But he's taken me on instead of a student/youngster (who would cost him less in minimum wage) as he wants someone reliable (don't anyone dare say anything :D) to train into a management post which should mean at least 40 hours :)

Only thing he's not mad keen on is that I'm cycling or walking the 4 and a bit miles each way, and plan to even when I'm on rota for a 6am start. But DS needs a car to get to work (9 miles opposite direction with a 5am start, and can't afford his own until he's had at least a couple of monthly pay cheques from a job he started yesterday) and I couldn't afford the petrol if I'm on less than 28 hours a week even if DS didn't need it (and then it's still touch and go).
