Sorry not been around the past few days but have had a horrible cold and have felt worse than useless. Anyway feel a bit better now so went to club and ended up being a STS, very happy with that as I have been so off plan with this cold.
congrats to Dillon for SOTW
Congrats to all the others who have lost and keep plodding to those who haven't.
welcome to the newbies and the returnees.
Have caught up with the thread but too much to comment on.0 -

Have never understood SW diet and don't think I ever will; it seems fine if you like eating a lot of meat.
I went to a local meeting a couple of years ago. The other newbies had all been on the diet before and, despite my telling the Leader that I'd never followed SW before, she just shoved a load of literature in my hand and the meeting then began.
The meeting made even less sense as I had no idea what the diet was about and the members may as well have been speaking in Latin for all the sense it made to me.
At the end of the meeting, I approached the Leader and explained that I didn't understand the diet. She told me to read the books and follow them. End of.
Never went back. Waste of time.0 -
If you want to give it another go dollydiva you'll find lots of support and explanations on this thread (I did!). I gather SW is very different now to the red/green days of yore.

Morning all, I'm back with my tail between my legs doing the walk of shame
What went wrong I ask myself, was doing ok and In the zone. Then I had my August holiday and completely lost the plot. Then added to that my health problems & some pity party's and hey presto....looking great (NOT).
I lay in bed last night thinking what the hell are you playing at you stupid woman, you have no excuses!!! Then this morning I went I to a local charity shop and tried on a top and couldn't believe how bad I look in the mirror, right state, lol.
So I'm back and sooooooo desperate. I've had half banana for brekie and for lunch I'm having slimming work sausages and loads of veg.Kindness costs nothing0 -

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience dolly and I hope that you found another way to lose weight as that must have been why you tried the class in the first place. Although SW is essentially common sense in terms of eating healthy food and limiting treats I like the structure it gives me and although I loathe the happy clappy side of classes I do like the encouragement and tips of others in the same boat. It is important to eat protein but it doesn't have to be meat. If you're still overweight then this thread could help but if you're now slim, fit and happy then congratulations:).
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, kippers, HEB bread, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham, fried veg and picklesLamb hotpot (onions, mushrooms, leeks, carrots) with cabbage
Syns:scrape of spread, minimal butter with kippers and won't remove all fat from lamb before cooking but won't eat it either.0 -
Right despite Sainsbury's best efforts to scupper my healthy eating by not delivering so meal plan went out the window . The shop included sweetener so coffee was with half a teaspoon of sugar as well as semi skimmed milk.
So eating yesterday was a bit hit and miss and I ended up with just 6 cups of coffee and 3 eggs scrambled with a tiny bit of butter and 2 bacon rashers done in the George Foreman .
Shop has arrived this morning-breakfast didn't happen as I worked til 11pm last night so slept in this morning. Today is a 3pm to 11pm shift but as I work from home I can still have a proper dinner. OH is off as he is attending a funeral today (he works funny hours too) and makes a good salad (just need to remind him to not add the mayo and lashings of cheese to it)
So far
Coffee with semiskimmed and one sugar (made before I'd unpacked the shopping)
Dinner will be at 7pm thinking salmon fillets cooked in foil with one squirt of the fry spray with lots of veg. There is a pack of roasted veg preprepared in the shop -need to check the syns on that tho as no doubt they have oil on them.
so need something for brunch - thinking porridge with fruit and a yougart. There's some nectarines I can slice up for it.
and a snack for about 5pm -not really into sweet stuff so not sure what that'll be -
Will edit later once I've worked out the numbers and then maybe someone can tell me if I've worked it out right
I'm struggling a bit with the fibre as I struggle with wholewheat bread as I find it a bit indigestible but maybe I should give it a go.
As for the Mondays -it's a council building so it simply isn't available BHs but ultimately it still seems odd to penalize people when the day is moved -perhaps the class isn't really meant for busy people though
I must admit had I not read up on SW before I went and listened to some of the chat here I'd not have followed the explantion of the plan at class - as it is I'm still not sure I've got my head around it properly (but yes I do know yesterday was a bad day and I should have eaten more)
Time for another coffee- will break open the sweetener and hope it isn't as bad as I fear !!!
