I have been reprievedSHALA I have stayed the same. I did expect a gain and I know it's my own fault.
I will try a bit harder this week. It seems much more difficult the nearer you get I have 10 lb to lose. Do others find it the same as me ?:)
It's definitely harder the closer you get to target wiz. Other than Your extra ice cream syns:eek: I did notice you had a couple of EE days earlier in the week but without the third of Speed (eating peas, haricot beans and banana IIRC). I really think you do better on Green then eating the veg that you can manage helps but isn't essential.
My EE menu:
B: NAS Grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onion and beetrootJO roast pork on veg (celery, onion, carrot) trivet with SW roasties and parsnips, red cabbage, cauli and broccoli
Syns: gravy and weekend wine.
The Jamie Oliver pork is delicious and the YS joint is massive so I'll have plenty over for lunches. It won't have all visible fat removed before cooking so probably very synful gravy:o.0 -
BEG you've made me want lamb shanks now! :rotfl: I love lamb
Can I ask if anyone has tried pumpkin before please? I thought it might be a bit different to the BNS we keep having... Is it sweet or bitter?
Oh shala, Mum was getting her lunch ready earlier while I was down (lamb shank and veggies) and the smell was gorgeous nom nom. Cannot wait until we have ours tonight. She has quite a small appetite now - she eats what she wants, if she wants and when she wants - she is 88 this month and weighs in at around the 12st mark (5ft6"ish). Yes, she says she would like to shift a stone in the ideal world but the health professionals say she is doing very well. Whatever she is doing, her weight remains pretty constant - not like me always seemed to be yo-yoing (pre SW). Oh, she said that there wasn't much lamb on the shank - she could have eaten two  Better make sure with have loads of sf with our meal being the greedy so and so's that we are :rotfl:
I think magnums are around 14 syns wiz so not too bad in the scheme of things - providing you don't scoff all three on the same day. When we were in Iceland the other day, they had their own make magnum type lollies - 4 caramel ones for 50p  Yes, you guessed it, DH just had to have a pack as it would have been rude not to
. Fortunately, I am quite happy to give the caramel ones a miss and stick to my Mini Moos and Sainsbobs Greek Yoghurt lollies.
Having BNS and Red Pepper Soup for lunch - DH is just blending as I type so will report back later on the result.
I think the pumpkin will be quite sweet shala - just thinking of the Americans and their pumpkin pie. Could be totally wrong though :rotfl:
Our neighbour has cut our front lawns this morning (back ones are like swamps) so I will try and get Mum's cut this afternoon before they get any wetter. It's all BM I suppose

Have had such a busy two weeks with work that I've thought about nothing else and totally forgot to post results this week! Unfortunately, it's a STS particularly annoying as I only had 1/2lb to lose to get back within target range but anyway, there's always next week. Doing a few fast forward days and hope that shifts it:)0

Thanks for all the welcome backs and for adding me on for the next 8 weeks Shala.
Made mince and dumplings today. Sooo nice! Had 2 dumplings at 4 syns each. Mince was less then 5% fat so free and then did SW chips in my actify too. Really enjoyed it! Breadfast was wholemeal thin (healthyfilled with fat free bacon. Will probably have an omelette later with cheese (healthy a).
Can anyone help me out here, oil used to be a healthy extra last year didn't it? I asked my leader and she said in the 15 years she has been doing SW she has never known it be a healthy extra. I'm sure i'm right, because I remember I used to use the oil count in my actifry. Anyone know why it isn't any longer included?? Its making me doubt my new leader before I've even begun really because i'm 99% sure i'm right
Quite a bit of fruit ate today. Syns came from dumplings (8), mini roll (6), gravy (2) and a freddo (5). I really need to stop going over my syns!! :rotfl:
I'm making my mam join SW tomorrow too, got a free registration voucher for her from Womans Own.
Hope everyone has had a lovely syn free day!!

I cannot recall oil being a HE CP but I have just checked in my old book and you could have a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil as a HE. I got this book in April 2014. Hth.

Olive oil WAS a HEB not sure if it is now but I still count it
WI with a not quite a lb gain so rounding up and going with +1lb. Not bad since not really been in the game what with stressing about going back to school. Talking of which, I'm in demand at the moment as staffing is a bit awry at the moment. I'm hoist trained so having to help out with a disabled child there as well as having to do 2 full days with his nibs until new staff start (about 3 weeks). So my mantra while at work mon to wed is 'it's only til lunchtime' and Thursday/Friday 'it's only for 3 weeks' take a week off each week. I CAN do & survive :rotfl:

Had the ham and potato hash today, reheated in oven and sprinkled cheese on top for the crunch! Served with cauliflower, broc, carrots and peas. Made loads so thought that's a few lunches there, but went down so well with hubby/son there's none left.
Have to be soup instead then
Have a good week and keep the faith :AIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
