Well I suggest you buy from them......
You do know Amazon can close your account including gift balance at any time?
Irrelevant to the debate.
You can buy a gift card from Amazon and not use it for 10 years it does not have to be in an account.
And what about Ikea? I understand that several other companies offer gift cards with no expiry date as well.
So yes I would suggest that people buy from them and deprive the companies that would keep your money after only 2 years, of your custom.
I have just read through the Amazon T&CS and cannot find where is says they can close your account and keep your gift card balance, other than where they believe they have been fraudulently obtained, so as I use Amazon quite a lot I would be grateful for a link to where it says otherwise.
Thanks.0 -

There was a post on this board a few weeks ago where the account was closed and the voucher balance forfeited if I recall correctly.0 -

There was this one:

but IMO, it was closed due to fraudulent activity by the person who opened the account and it isn't something that happens very often.0 -

That was the one. Jeez, doesn't time fly - I could have sworn it was only a few weeks ago!
I forgot that it was an "iffy" account, but I did think that there were some links in the morass that supported Amazon's ability to "confiscate" vouchers in the event they closed an account. Life's too short for me to read 12 pages to check!
Thanks for locating it - my tablet and the forum search drop down don't like each other.0 -
