Afternoon all!!
Finally have some spends to update. Been to my favourite farm shop today which is really cheap. Picked up 10 massive chicken supremes, bananas, 2 boxes of grapes, turnip, apples, milk, parsnips, strawberries, leeks, spring onions, new potatoes, sack of potatoes, carrots, cucumber, watermelon, large piece of topside beef, 1/2 turkey crown (still massive), 2 packs of back bacon and 10 large chicken supreme filets. Came to a grand total of £35.89! This is such a good price for such a large amount of meat, fruit and veg. Upon checking the receipt I wasn't charged for the sack of potatoes so saved £2.99 there
The meat will last me for the month. I have a ham shank in the freezer so I'm planning some broth for DH and the kids this week.
Baking a pie this afternoon, have everything in apart from cornbeef which my mam is picking up from the shops for me so I won't be tempted by the shops. She is also picking me up eggs as I forgot them at the farm this morning  The eggs are cheaper from Icel*nd anyway but I like the eggs from the farm and like to support local trades. Never mind!
Gonna sit down tonight and do my meal plan so I feel organised
Hope everyone is well!

went to waitrose today and purchased a lovely saucepan as you do...£18 reduced to £7.50...lovely... no food then popped into coop and got a massive bag of bananas for £1 its quite odd in our local coop a few times a week they scoop up all the nanas and bag them up and reduce to a quid...a big carrier bag full and they chuck the new green nanas on to the shelf.....the ones in the bad are perfect to eat and make lovely cakes so long may it continue
hope everyone is doing well

Sorry I've been quiet, the good news it's cos I have nothing to report spending-wise. Doing my weekly shop on a Friday rather than Sunday is working out much better for us (we would end up with a top up shop on Fridays where my husband would buy lots of snacks and rubbish and spend nearly as much as our Sunday shop before).
Hope everyone else is doing well at holding onto those pennies!Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
