Well it's been a long and arduous week and all set to start again.
Money stresses are high as money is low...almost down to a zero balance already. The dog tipped the scales when she ate some mouse poison.. £89 vet fees which were unaccounted for in my budget
I've signed up for a YNAB trial so just working my way through some of the classes..i'm hoping it will do magical things for me as i've heard others raving about it!#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Have finally had some good news...I have been offered an extra day at work which will bring me an extra £5,000ish a year!! It's temporary..but all the same, those extra pennies can go towards the debt busting yay#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

I asked on the off chance..said I would have to do some bank care work as i've taken a financial hit, and need to increase my income!
I'm dead chuffed...will make things so much easier not having to interview for something else and it's much higher paid thatn bank work.

Not a good week, have gone overdrawn as went away with the girls for the weekend. I think they all owe me a few pennies but will need to sit down and work out the food costings and I can't imagine it's anymore than £20..
Well i'm finding YNAB a tad confusing and need to learn the error of my ways because my bank balance and YNAB balance are completely different...despite me thinking that I have entered every transaction? Not sure whether to scrap it completely and start again or attempt to recalculate??
I need to get setting some goals again before I waste the day..I have a few days off this week as I am birthday girl...that is not a reason to do nothing!

Major blip last month.....I forgot to claim my expenses and that sent me on a downwards spiral, went overdrawn and could not seem to stop myself spiralling out of control. It's a bit scary but good to be reminded of how easy it is to fall off the wagon.
However, I have redeemed myself..payday yay..paid back the £220 OD..it's going to be a challenging month with Christmas on the horizon and i'm hoping I don't resort to the OD again.
I have wiped my YNAB slate clean and started again with a new paypack..let's just see shall we..#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Going to try and remain optimistic..:D#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Just transferred £900 from BOSS DEBT card to 0% T**Co DEBT card. BOS DEBT card is ending in January and had to transfer by 11th Dec...that leaves me with a £450 balance on the BOSS card to clear before January 8th!!
Spoke to PGCE student today and she is transferring me £325 to hold the room so that will immediately go to DEBT...I will make £450 for 6 weeks and she may need to extend to 8 weeks...fingers crossed...that could give me another £150 to pay towards debt#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

YNAB was not adding up so i have wiped and started AGAIN..it was that balance transfer that triggered it..was a nightmare trying to get my pre YNAB debt to calculate right so i gave up in the end
Finances were looking great for Jan, pay day has come early...sadly my dog has been poorly and I had to take her to the vets... £240 later...she is undergoing tests which I hope come back clear but I have this dreaded feeling as she has been vomiting daily and had a few collapses..I am devastated
On a +ve I am being encouraged by management to go for a higher banded job in the NY which could increase the income by approx £1,000 per year!! Fingers and toes crossed!!
I have also been considering a property move, if i was closer to work it would reduce transport costs. I had a valuation which was around £25,000 more that I anticipated :j! I could buy a cheaper property and consider paying of debts completely. Lots ticking over in my little brain right now..
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas :xmastree:#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Horrendous Christmas, actually thought my darling dog was going to pass away on Christmas day, she was so lethargic, not eating/drinking or making any noise, she did not move from the sofa all day. The vet had said he suspected lymphoma. I spent Christmas eve and Christmas Day sobbing...could not go to my parents for lunch, so spent the day alone until BF turned up in the evening. Could not even Skype my son abroad as I knew he would be devastated...
Weirdest thing is that she has picked up, has been having Reiki healing and feeding her by hand which slows down her chewing, we have got back to walking daily; she is still by no means right but what an amazing improvement
BF let me down on NY eve, did not tell me change of plans until last minute, so spent the eve alone...must say it has been the crappest Christmas ever..
2016 has to be the year for change! I am fed up with being depressed, not sleeping, drinking too much wine, being in an unfulfilling relationship, neglecting exercise and being down on myself by feeding myself negative thoughts!
It's about time....bring it on (and if you must know, I took my gym membership out before the NY) :A!#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000
