I was checking old DEBT card statement this morning (as you do at 430am) and I discovered another biggy bonus to make me extra happy... the DEBT card I thought was reverting to 21.94% in October is actually 0% until January!!! :j I have just overpaid by £80, so I have £1520.00 to focus on getting rid of..yay...
Must get on with the decluttering..got £20 from the Bay furniture collected yesterday, need to run along to bank and pay in.
Also, someone interested in renting room, could bring in an extra £60 p/wk..advertised for £75! I'm tempted..could give an extra £240 to chuck at debts or £60 weekly...just imagine!!:D
Yay for card being 0% till January
Have u ever rented a room before? That sounds goodyou could get £1000 paid if the card before the apr runs out just off the room rent

Yes, rented room once before..got £325 per/month, mon-fri let which was perfect! But it's all a matter of finding the right person. The woman who called said she'd email me some info but hasn't got back, so not sure if it's going to happen? Problem is she wants to move in next Mon and i'm on hol that week...doh! Hi kindofagilr
Just returned from holiday with BF...trying to figure out exactly how much we spent? Made a bit of a boo boo..took £500 of euros thinking we would get a good rate if we needed to exchange more over there. Only to find exchange rate was terrible, ended up having to use cash point which was a better rate.
Also, the rooms were booked on my DEBT CARD before I did the 0% switch so it was automatically taken from account  ...was doing so well not using the card. Still waiting for last B&B to take cash from account; so none the wiser on the exact amount spent which is really annoying me. I've been checking the account like..10 times a day...lol, have a feeling I owe BF. Just want to know where I am at with it all...itching to make some additional payments to BOS CARD.
Post holiday blues..my spreadsheets are all over the place..must buck up and set myself some goals for the remainder of the month.
On a +ve:
A woman has contacted me about the room, hoping she will view this week.
Learnt some nice frugal Italian recipes.. so need to get batch cooking!

Morning folks
Oh this poor sleeping really gets to me, i'm of the understanding that the older you get that less sleep is required, but hey...I have been awake since 4am !!! It has however given me the opportunity to get a wash load on before work.
I guess i am more of an early bird or maybe that is what motherhood dictated to me in the early days with a waking child and a useless partner? Or it could be my ingrained childhood memory of my mum hoovering everyday at some God forsaken hour..no chance of a lie in ...EVER!
Well I am sat here contemplating setting some goals to complete by the end of the month...forever the optimist!
I'm still on the library waiting list for the kondoing book; it appears to have a long waiting list comparable to some of those swanky designer handbags adorned by the rich and famous. However I will attempt to commence the journey myself. Here goes...
• Declutter items 0/100
• Sell items on the bay 0/10
• Drop business cards 0/500
• Paint cupboard doors 0/2
• Chuck one Uni file 0/1
• Craft 5 items for xmas or stall 0/5
I'd better get a shift on..#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Morning folks
Well the slow cooker has seen some action in the last few days, made a Bolognese and chilli so far. Hoping to get a batch in the freezer before BF gets here and demolishes the whole lot.
Another working week that I am looking forward to seeing the end of...ahhh. I know I should start looking for a second job to boost the debt busting...i’m considering doing some bank care work for an agency to try and increase the pennies...care agencies always appear to have hours going here and there which I’m hoping may fit in with my life. The debt busting becomes really addictive after a while doesn't it?!
I have a potential lodger viewing the spare room Tues; wondering whether it may be a bit too much of a commute for her to her place of work...we shall see? Also have another potential if that ones a no go ..yay
An update on my goals for the month:
• Declutter items 28/100
• Sell items on the bay 0/10
• Drop business cards 0/500
• Paint cupboard doors 0/2
• Chuck one Uni file 0/1
• Craft 5 items for Xmas pressies/stall 0/5
Can't wait to get stuck in over the weekend...
Right, off to walk the dog, stick the bins out and take my 28 itemsto the charity shop before work..

Morning peeps
Here i am again...another week down...I can't believe it but I have gone over drawn.. some how i messed up my spreadsheets this month? Have been so good with my over payments but its not supposed to be to the detriment of my over draft!
I've been sat here playing around with the mortgage calculators this morning, dreaming of the day...and wow, I could potentially shave £150-200 off of my payments! My mortgage deal ends in March; I've been locked in for the last five years paying over £600 per month so would so love to remortgage with a different provider to access a better deal. The one thing holding me back I believe will be my Credit Card debt which now stands at a whopping £18990.79 that's minus what I owe to Bank of M&D. So depressing...as there is no way this can be cleared before my mortgage deal ends :wall:!
I did a free credit file check last week as I had recently done a soft search via MSE to see if I would be a candidate for a good 0% CC...and the computer says NO...well the only cards on offer are the 36% ones!!! I have worked away at improving my Credit File for years so can't work out if it's due to the amount of debt i am currently in? I was also fuming when I noticed a few marks against a utility account. I took out a Sains****ys gas/electric over a year ago and was not aware that BG are the actual providers, when I switched again last year I was late paying my final bill and they have marked this on my credit file! I'm worried this will also impact upon my chance of getting a mortgage deal.
Anyways, I need to get a list together...my decluttering has momentarily stalled and I need to get back in the swing..it appears I have 2 bids on the bay though..yay.
Happy Sunday morning...have a great day#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Feeling a bit down with life this morning...I think it's this whole relationship business..not sure that I am cut out for it after all. I know people have baggage at my age but it's so much harder when things have not been addressed within the previous relationship...not sure that I can deal with the situation any longer.
Just worked out total amount of credit available to me and it is £33,050.00, considering that I take home around £20,000 that is a hefty limit !
Noted that my CC debt is nigh on £19,000, so just called up and reduced the M**A card from £15,000 to £9,000. They did state that this could have a negative impact upon my rating...i'm sure it is better not to have £15,000 worth of credit available to me? So that gives gives me a little leeway (about £9000 of leeway) to move things around if I get a good offer from the other CC's when these 0% have ended in the NY!
A mini update on my goals:
• Declutter items - 50/100
• Sell items on the bay 2/10 - 4 items listed
• Drop business cards - 250/500
• Paint cupboard doors - 0/2 (undercoated 1.5)
