Morning All
Been up since 5:30am..have an irritating cough and kidney ache...think i need to give the wine a rest, I have definitely over spent on vino this month what with the festival at the beginning of the month.
Had a lovely day out in the sunshine with BF yesterday...went to a busy street and walked about 3 miles i'd guess...good job really as BF treated me to a bag of chips..who says romance is dead huh?
BF ended up buying some great trousers for our holiday from the charity shop, from White Stuff and Ralph Lauren, and all for £5.98 BAR-GAIN!!. Didn't find anything i really liked...thankfully! So easy to get complacent isn't it and spend a few £££ here and there..all good really, as this morning CC statement has arrived...SHOCK! They are charging me £233 this month...could not work out why as this is not 2%...gave them a ring...not much help really.. They seem to think it has something to do with the balance transfer fee?
Luckily I have it in the bank so i've earmarked it by moving it across into my savings account section...I now have £41.96 for month#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

OK...the jury is back in...
CC T***O - £7920.00
CC BOS - £1620.00
CC Llo*** - £2223.02
CC M**A - £8000.00
B of M&D - £4300.00
Total debt £24,063.02
I worked out that if I were to pay off the 0% in 9 months i'd need to be paying over £800 a month  ...and that's just one card...!!!! I have a mountain to climb!! Onwards...#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Morning
Had a lovely day yesterday..took BF to local town and he purchased some smart trainers for our holiday.
Been starting to plan our trip to Naples a little more, try and work out roughly how much everything is going to cost us and what we want to see? I've found some quite good deals on room front and a 3 day pass to be used at 2 of the sights we want to visit and also includes free transport for 3 days :j.
Made an amazing meal with the veg BF brought and some pork and hickory sausages that I bought from the butchers at the weekend. That's the first time i've eaten sausages for about 30 years; i've always been a little concerned with the content and was vegetarian for about 10 years. But, wow they were absolutely lovely.
Considering paying that £233 that I owe on the CC today, hate seeing money sat there, but that means i'd have to cancel the DD.
Just off to prep my sarnies for work x#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Evening All
Feel like i'm on the edge of a credit card relapse right now!! I've got £14 in the bank to last until end of the month  Not sure why i'm feeling on edge like this...maybe it was all that window shopping that I did with BF yesterday...saw some lovely boots that I want for winter
Think i just need to keep reminding myself that it's a DEBT card...
Thankfully £15 on the way tomorrow and £69 next Tuesday, just need to go really careful now. Have some bits on the Bay, one £20 at moment...trying to look at this in a positive light.#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Thanks sooo much EmilyBeee, it can get a little lonesome sometimes talking to myself and it's really lovely to get the odd cheer to keep going with it all.
Been reading some great diaries lately and they've been helping to inspire me...now need to go and read up on YNAB?
I have the day off today and i will pop back later with a list of things that I hope to achieve today..quite frequently i find myself procrastinating about all the things i'd like to do...and where does that get me? Well, i can tell you one thing, the day flies by and i'm back at work before i know it, depressed that I have wasted my day and achieved nothing.#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

So I have a little list of 'To Do's' for the day and already feeling somewhat overwhelmed. Anyways, i'm telling myself it's good to set these mini challenges for myself...if I achieve at least one of these things then it's all good, right?
I must say it's such a feel good factor striking that 'To Do' off of the listSo, without further ado, here it is..
o Take photo’s Eb@y items already listed
o Collect wood from fellow freecycler and Dad (building up the winter stash)
o Provide beauty treatment to friend £15
o Dye hair (i’m starting to resemble a badger)
o Take BF trousers up on sewing machine
o Attempt a Yoga routine at home (given up leisure centre membership in attempt to chuck more at DEBT cards...sniffle)
o Complete some surveys
o Washing
o Bonfire – burn garden waste and old paperwork (once i have actually banished the paperwork to the waste pile that is)! Got a stack of old Uni folders gathering dust...finding it particularly hard to part with them...trying to focus on the space that i will create .
Must check my library account soon ...ordered the 'Art of Kondo-ing' it appears to have a mega cult following at the moment, dying to see what all the fuss is about.
I will check back later with a true representation of what I have actually achieved#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

All in all it's been quite a satisfying day today. I've been quite proactive which makes a mahoosive change from that of late...maybe it was the writing the list that gave me a kick up the bum to actually get off of it and start doing!?
I have so many ideas swimming in my head on how I will get myself out of debt (including the lottery win)...you would think it would be simple if I just picked one (best not to just get stuck on daydreaming about the lottery though). But no, not me...I recognise how unmotivated, lazy and stuck in a rut that I have become....on my day off I just want to pretty much do sweet FA and that's not going to pay my DEBT burden is it; or tidy the house for that matter?
So -I made a pretty good start on the list...not all completed but I will try and continue for the rest of the week.
o Take photo’s Eb@y items already listed - hmm 2/3 completed.
o [STRIKE]Collect wood from fellow freecycler and Dad (building up the winter stash)[/STRIKE]
o [STRIKE]Provide beauty treatment to friend £15[/STRIKE]
o Dye hair (i’m starting to resemble a badger) - badger woman it is then...for a while longer anyway
o [STRIKE]Take BF trousers up on sewing machine[/STRIKE]
o Attempt a Yoga routine at home - Don't know why I can't stick to this right now?
o [STRIKE]Complete some surveys[/STRIKE] - I'm going to cross this off as one is better than none! I did attempt a few more but i'm assuming that I didn't meet the spec, not my lucky day.
o [STRIKE]Washing[/STRIKE]
o Bonfire –Would help to actually got started on the cull of the paperwork, other than that the garden waste was a bit wet.
Desperate to keep going with the clutter clearing; I think it definitely has an impact upon my well-being and is a barrier to me leading the life that I want to live.
I think it's book time...been reading so many money management books, pretty much all say similar things.#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Just snowballed again since shifting to a 0% card...can almost see a glimmer of light. Previous snowball I was paying into the next century with over £100,000 estimated in interest . What a wake up call.
Slightly better DFD tonight 2026...and only £20,000 in interest...I really, really must clear this debt asap...think I may have to consider getting a second job. Friend trying to dissuade me today, concerned about my health after last years experience...good to have friends who are looking out for me.
BOS card 0% ends next month so need to really focus on clearing that one asap...£1620 currently. Those new boots will deffo have to wait!#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Been feeling a bit down today, tired and sniffly...had a rubbish night sleep last night and came home from work exhausted. Wanted to curl up and have a nap but had an invite to catch up with friends. That lifted my spirits no end and a lovely meal to boot.
Have just got home to CC statement...and that has put me back on that downward spiral...made a boo boo last month...not switching to 0% quickly enough and it has cost me £74 . Not quite sure how I will manage next month? CC's are currently over £400 combined and we're going on that blooming holiday...I really don't want to go but BF will not have it.
