I would see if you could try and ignore the £40
HUGS as well cos I have had the moments of when my brain is al happy with the way things are going and then BOOM I feel so depressed about it all, but you do need to think that 1) you arent adding to your debt which is awesome, 2) it WILL be gone, yes it might take a wee while, but it will be gone
Also with regards to cutting the cards up, obv do it as soon as you can so you arent tempted, but it took me 9 months from my LBM to actually cut mine up and I felt so AWESOME when I did itxx

Thank you kindofagilr!
Yes, I am going to try and ignore the £40 and keep to the £16, as long as I don't go into my overdraft I will be happy!
RESULT: I have cut up another DEBT card today...so one step closer..3 more to take the scissors to!
Off to lovely Wales tomorrow eve for a break with BF..my Dad insured me on his camper van but it's going to have to be super frugal. BF said he will put dome diesel in van...and I am going to try and make some things to take so we aren't tempted to spend and junk!
I have spent £6.51 of my budget today on: eggs, milk, bacon and a few naughties...I have a bit of a meal plan in mind for the weekend:
homemade soup and bread
homemade onion quiche and salad
pasta, tuna and mayo
bacon & egg sandwich for brekkie
Hoping to buy some fresh fish from the seaside too, so we can grill it on our mini barbie (weather permitting)!
I think I will need to come up with a few meals to keep BF happy and I must not forget to buy the dog food, although i'm sure she would be happy with whatever we eat!! BF parents have an amazing garden full of fruit and veg, so i am hoping BF goes along for a pick tomorrow..#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Back to reality today after 4 lovely days in Wales. Had a great trip following the coastal path around the Gower to Pembrokeshire and back through the Brecon Beacons...avoided camp sites, so no outlay there. BF paid fuel and I took lots of food, although we did top up a little... I have carried the spend over into this months budget as I was paid on Friday.
Goal for the month is to try and cut down on junk food treats and alcohol and buy more fruit and veg
Calculated that i have paid off £605.72 of my debt since the beginning of August...yay! Feeling all fired up now!
On a positive note an untracked claim on Q###co has finally tracked so I should be due £80 in the next few weeks :j#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

So my robbing Peter to pay Paul is rearing it's ugly head once again..
I borrowed money from my girlfriend's holiday deposit when I was off of work sick..of course I was anticipating that i'd be bringing much more money in by the time the final payment was owed.
Six of us are going to a lodge in Nov and five of them gave me a £30 deposit each. Thankfully I have just persuaded another friend to come along so that will reduce the whole weekend to £70 each.
I've just calculated that my share is £195.84...so angry with myself as that could have gone to my debts!
Hey ho..another lesson..#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000

Morning all..
Well I have been AWOL since Friday, away at a music festival in Portmerion. This was booked ages ago, my son from Canada was supposed to be returning home for it but then had to cancel due to work commitments; that caused quite a bit of stress as I had paid for all of the tickets at the time which was over £700....what a fool!! Thankfully my BF sorted the cash he owed me and bought the spare ticket for his son to come instead.
Wow, what a beautiful place Portmerion is, BF and I snuck out in the early hours of the morning for walks up into the woods and down to the coast. Would love to go back again some day..when it has returned to it's normal peaceful glory (budgeted of course)
I am really pleased to report that I stuck to my budget and never withdrew any more money...must say that it feels really good to have resisted using the DEBT card and can't quite believe that I haven't since July. Feeling pretty good right now :j#4 DFBXMAS24 - £2,322.85/£5,000
