Freeze as much as you can i small portions, you can always bulk out or add to it! I'm only cooking for one these days so try and freeze into portions. I use those take away size cartons and pop into bags when frozen then re-use them. Everything is in blocks which saves on space in freezer too!

    Does that sound OCD? lol

I still owe vets £280 and I have to collect ashes  ...parents have been amazing though and just offered to pay and collect her for me. Obviously, I will have to pay them back but no urgency!

Here's hoping next month will be better x

Where is this month going..i'm already OD in the bank by the sum of £18 but luckily have about £30 in my purse..need to get it paid into the bank asap.

My lodger has returned home for a week due to half term, great news is that she wants to rent the room for 2 extra weeks to ensure her teaching skills are as good as they can be. Not going to complain as that is an extra £150! It is a sacrifice, sharing your home with a stranger but means to an end and all that. I have just re-advertised for a lodger from mid March...don't really want to but hey-ho must keep focused...it can sometimes takes months to find some one in the grand scheme of things.

Let slip a little at the weekend, easily persuaded by a friend to go out for a few drinks in the afternoon ..spent about £15! Not too bad as things go...I remember when it was £50 for an evening out!

I am definitely going to try and factor in a few treats from now on...life is too short not to have some enjoyment. Really hoping the new wage packet will enable me to do this but planning on making this a budget amount...maybe £30? I have had a pay rise...yay!!! ...and i've gone full time...can't wait for the end of the month..i'm still owed for overtime in Dec and Jan! :j:j ...hoping it's going to be a good one!

Good news...just bagged myself another lodger to move in from April...!! £100 deposit paid into bank. £345 per month for mon-fri is not bad going...really happy .

Just need to get mortgage sorted, so many things swimming through my mind right now...to move or not? Lots of pros and cons. Kind of resigned right now to staying put for a few years until all my debts are cleared at least...really want to get my son home for a visit from Canada also.

Well done on getting another lodger :)

    How you getting on?

We've had such an expensive march :( MOT which required two new tyres to the sum of £140 and then there was an issue with it which needed a new temperature sensor which was £85, school trips and milk money needed as well, argh lol

I hope you are ok xx
