Well, the BBC pretty much laid into Ashcroft and the woman who wrote the book, who tried to brush the thing aside as just a short paragraph about something that one person had mentioned to her. I agree that most people have skeletons in their cupboards, especially when it comes to events that occurred during their growing up days, when they tended to experiment with a variety of things, including gross ones. I actually find what Ashcroft has done far more sordid and irresponsible than what David Cameron allegedly did as a youngster.
A lot of people are far more worried about the serious issues that are facing us today, like the masses of illegal migrants that are invading Europe at the moment (fit young men who certainly don't look like any refugee I've ever seen). I would certainly not like to see loony Red Corbyn and his loony mates in power at this time…Emerging from the loos later that evening, the former newsman, a working-class boy made good, bumped into Cameron. ‘You’re not one of us, are you?’ the Leader of the Opposition quipped cheerfully.
The guest was left wondering if it was a reference to his politics, his social status — or both.Read how he treats his friends Like Coulson and Brookes when political expediency demands. He's a gutless, arrogant, selfish, unprincipled man who just happens to be our Prime Minister.......... but don't blame me!

Jeremy Clarkson says people like me should be put up against a wall and shot because I'm a public service worker who goes on strike because of my pension being reduced. Seriously do people think that I should just suck it up and accept my lot?.....
What's on Earth has Clarkson got to do with it? I've always found the man abhorrent, so not too sure what you're complaining about with relevance to what I said.
For your information, I believe all politicians and generally people in power are deceitful, including communists such as Corbyn and Stalin, and everyone has skeletons in their cupboards.
When it comes to Cameron, he appears to try to tread a middle ground in what are turning out to be quite dangerous times for Britain and the rest of Europe. This is a time when Britain needs to show strength, not disarray – and that absolutely revolting Ashcroft and the woman who wrote the book are damaging our country. I'm not too sure why the Mail is publishing this tittle-tattle, much of which was known already. Sure it wants to sell more copies of its paper (and the book publishers and Ashcroft want to earn their money). Perhaps the Mail would also like Cameron replaced by a hardliner (which wouldn't be a great idea)? I'm not buying the paper, and I certainly wouldn't buy the book.:cool:0 -

Clarkson epitomises the types he associates with! Do you really believe he is showing strength? Do you seriously believe he is a leader? He is the worst Prime Minister we have had in this country for years. He follows.....he does not lead. Merkel, Allende etc run rings around him. He has been lucky and will bow out at a time of his own choosing because opposition was feeble and he has the backing of the media and establishment. However that does not change what he is!
actually he has the backing of the electorate (even if you depise them)0 -

......but lets not distract from the allegations about 'call me Dave'

Lord Richards, former head of the armed forces, is critical of Cameron’s record on defence
Richards spoke to the authors, and they quote him expressing reservations about Cameron’s handling of the intervention in Libya in 2011, and of the proposed intervention in Syria in 2013. Speaking about Libya, he said:We never really analysed things properly. Our instinct is kneejerk support for the underdog, without doing the analysis that would necessarily legitimise that course of action. The book says Richards was “frozen out of discussions about Syria” and relations with No 10 deteriorated. And he says he once had to tell Cameron that “being in the combined cadet force at Eton” did not qualify him to decide tactics for complex military operations.0 -

Let me get this clear: so now you are saying Jeremy Clarkson is Prime Minister? :rotfl::T This would be true of Clarkson if he was PM. However, the current PM, David Cameron, has done a reasonably good job trying to appease all the various factions that are pitched against him.
As for Merkel, she is well on her way to destroying Europe. Some of us will only realise this once it is too late (if the current situation in Europe is not dealt with very rapidly by preventing all and sundry healthy, aggressive 'migrants' from the Middle East, Africa and Asia from entering the continent illegally). Then we'll really have problems on our hands.0
