I think what we need to resolve issues like this is a bit more sanctimonious indignation from fence-sitting serial complainers.
At least moby and arklight actually believe in something.
Believing in expropriating other people so that you can have their stuff for nothing, and that you should be applauded for thinking this, don't amount to believing in anything worthwhile.
Stalin believed in killing the middle class by robbing them of their crops and starving them to death. The Inquisition believed in killing heretics. Probably both were sincere and probably both gave themselves a big attaboy every time they looked in the mirror.0 -

And that's the lie the left, love to push around and feed people like you, as I stated earlier this simplified world view that it's some kind of moral crusade of good and evil, its ridiculous, life is not a comic book.
Most moderate people left or right believe in the same thing, a fair and decent society with a healthy moral compass, they just have different view on how to achieve it.
The fact that it seems you can't make this distinction is an issue for you, not for others. I was the same I was a leftie for many years, maybe in time you will understand, maybe you won't.
I also have to laugh at the fence sitting, Its a forum for christ sake, catering for armchair expertsAnd in fairness I think the last thing this country needs right now is another revolutionary, we already have to suffer Russell Brand.

Stalin simply "removed" those who disagreed with his views and opinions. Once the iron fist was finally removed. The empire fell apart.0 -

I don't know if the Kulaks qualified as 'middle class'. Well off peasants might be a better description. They were liquidated. A lot of them were simply shot.Thrugelmir wrote: »Stalin simply "removed" those who disagreed with his views and opinions. Once the iron fist was finally removed. The empire fell apart.
Like his predecessor Lenin, Stalin put some effort into eliminating those who proposed the wrong kind of Communism. The revolution always devours itself.0 -

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. ... You hypocrite!
If only you could see thatJarad O Mara is the new hate figure that allows the opportunity for you to yet again avoid the self reflection that would improve you as a person.
Corbyn is changing attitudes and providing the mirror for us all to look at ourselves and the values we have. I understand for many it is hard. The journey will be long but it will be worth it in the end.;)0 -

That's taking Labour Party loyalism a bit far, I think.
Corbyn as the new Messiah. :rotfl:0 -

Do you want to explain that?0 -
The UK is less racist than the vast majority of other countries in the world. Our acceptance of other cultures is off the scale compared to most of them.
Considering your stated political views and the political parties you vote for, I don't understand how you can write that.
Unless it's a criticism of what you perceive the UK to be like.0
