Again the Blairite argument just goes around and around.
Labour won't win because they aren't enough like the Tory Party.
I have an idea. How about Labour becomes more like the Tory Party than the Tory Party?
Maybe if JC announces that there will definitely be deportations rather than just that there might be, then that will get them into power.
And then, instead of saying that rich people will have to pay more tax, he can say that rich people will pay no tax at all.
Then Clapton and martinfromsurrey will become Labour supporters. How nice.0 -
And now Chilcot.
Blair didn't lie about WMD's. He just tried really really hard not to believe the truth and then said the opposite of the truth.
Well they are friends and Sir John has his knighthood thanks to Tony so he was never going to be that hard on him.
Its another great day for Blairitism. How awful for Labour that they have someone principled in charge. I can see why they all hate it so much.
Now the PLP have failed to get rid of Corbyn before this report it is time for 140 MPs to start doing some much deserved squirming.0 -

Rugged, I am like most of the UK population, a moderate.
I don't have blind faith in any political party, I make a decision based on what is most pressing for me, my family, and the nation (in my opinion).
I and many many millions like me, LIKE the 2 main parties to be fairly similar, left of center and right of center, it moderates the far side of the other party.
I am equally against the Tories become far right as I am Labour becoming far left.
Your hyperbole that if you don't support JC you must want the rich to pay no tax and all immigrants to be kicked out.
and
That the PLP doest know what the people what, and only JC does, but the electorate needs to be re educated on why he's so good.

is exactly why moderates DON'T want a far left wing Labour party, you cant engage in sensible discussion. Just a blind faith bordering on hysteria.0 -

That really must grate with you as doesn't fit your agenda. The world isn't black and white as you wish to portray it. There's a huge amount of grey in the middle. Where fortunately the majority sit. Using common sense and life experience to tailor their views. Rather than having a closed mind restricted to a particular view.0 -
Looks to me like ruggedtoast is saying that if you're anything other than on the far left then you should vote Tory.0

That's pretty much what all the Momentites are saying. They don't care about electability because they view general elections as an irrelevance which will be swept away by the dialectical inevitability of the socialist revolution.0

yup,
last time Labour went too far left for moderates the librals got 25% of the popular vote(didn't translate into seats though), 11% more than the election before and 2% more than to get into the 2010 coalition with 23% of popular vote , that left the door open for another 14 years or Tory rule...
