In the aftermath of the forthcoming defeat will come the leader whose task will be to do battle with the hard left and to steer them back to sanity. History is repeating its self.
Ruggedtoast: In 1983 Thatcher won a landslide 120 majority against loony left infested Labour, it's going to happen again thanks to moronic idiots like you.

You always know when you are dealing with psephological (look it up) genius when they talk about the "Loony Left", and don't even understand they are using it as a proper noun.
The ad hominem insult and the link to that most respected of academic sources, Wikipedia, is a full brace of ignorance, espoused by an ignoramus.0 -
This made me laugh today:
http://newsthump.com/2016/07/02/corbynism-recognised-as-britains-fastest-growing-religion/The worship of Jeremy Corbyn has been recognised as Britain’s fastest-growing religion according to latest census data.
Corbyn, or ‘J.C.’ as he has come to be known, promises followers a simple moral purity divorced from the real world which many find an attractive solace in difficult times.'I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my father. Not screaming and terrified like his passengers.' (Bob Monkhouse).
Sky? Believe in better.
Note: win, draw or lose (not 'loose' - opposite of tight!)0 -

You've not really offered a rebuttal of his point though. You've just commented on a minor grammatical point, and returned the ad hominem insult. Attacking the source rather than the facts is another fallacy."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -
... Attacking the source rather than the facts is another fallacy.
As far as I can see there is nothing wrong with that Wikipedia account of the 1983 GE. It was a "disaster for the Labour Party". And indeed it was.
I suppose some people just don't like to reminded just how bad things can get.:)0 -
so under no circumstances would you allow the people to have a vote on brexit because they may come to the wrong conclusion?
I think that history has shown that this is a perfectly rational stance.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
60,000 new Labour members since the leadership crisis.
Corbyn supporters mock Labour MP turncoats for their failed and hopeless attempt at unseating J.C.
The PLP will fall into line.

history hasn't yet said anything about brexit, but history has shown defying a clear democractic mandate has led to the death of thousands, economic collapse and deep seated divisions that last decades.0 -

The Wikipedia figures are accurate and that defeat stands as an historical monument to the hard left of the 80's to which your beloved leader belonged.
Oh they were and still are "LOONY LEFT":D0 -

I hope the Corbyn supporters are happy when we have 20 years of Tory rule with little meaningful opposition, most of the remaining achievements of the post war Labour Governments are swept away, and we quite possibly end up with UKIP as the official opposition.
Because make no mistake, if Corbyn stays in post, that IS what will happen. And the blame will lie squarely with Corbyn's vanity and the naivety of those who continue to support him.0 -
Rugged = you never answered my question posted earlier.
When JC is reelected and deselects the 142 heretics, what will happen?
I think that the 142 will stand against the Official Labour candidates and Labour will have about 40 MPs plus some of the relected sitting MPs. You think this will not happen?
The real question is how does this help Labour leaning voters and previous Labour voters? Let alone his core voters
Corbyn has a vision but preaching to the converted is not going to win over enough people to win power. Having 400000 people support you is not enough. Get 15,000,000 and then you can make a difference.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0
