Labour would probably get my vote if they became a sensible party with real policies rather than campaigning by negative sentiment about "vile Tories". I don't have any feelings of antipathy to Corbyn but I just don't see him offering sensible policies to take back the centre left.

Here is what I'd like to see from them:
    - An actual actionable plan on housing market. Not just demand side stimulus but carrot and stick incentives for builders and councils. Something that we can judge on merits rather than "we will build x houses" bs.

    - Specify exactly how you plan to go about reducing the deficit. If you don't plan on "austerity" in the form of welfare spending cuts, where will you cut? Or how will you raise the funds. Maths is maths and I want to hear how you plan on making the maths work, not just attacks on another parties spending cuts.

    - Actionable and testable plan for starting along the path toward a non means tested basic income for all citizens. Long term goal being only very special cases (ie. truly disabled or impaired people) get extra benefits. Long term plan to scrap housing benefit causing people to sit in central London being unproductive.

I do not regard these policies as right wing. I regard them as centre left with a pragmatic approach.

The Tories sort of reflect my views on how the economy should be run but fall short in many ways and just shoot themselves in the foot with their half hearted stupidity. I cannot bring myself to vote for them while the blow housing bubbles and inflate rich people's assets while peeing around with clumsy attempts to reform a skewed incentive welfare system. Right to buy?!!!! !!!!!!.

no policy needed about immigration or it is taken as read that Corbyn believes in unrestricted immigration and wants Turkey et aL to be fast tracked to full EU membership?

Do you really need to spoil each and every thread with your irrational fear and hate for anyone not belonging to the white Anglo-Saxon master race?
You are such a bore, clappers.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

There is a real danger that the Tories will drift to the right

Labour want to be a grassroots party, which happens to be hard left.

Tories want to be in government, which happens to always be the center ground, which is currently free.

The Tories are too sensible to abandon an open goal.

Given we are discussing policies of a UK political party, why do you consider immigration to be a forbidden subject?

However, can any rational person say that discussing housing, wage levels, access to health care, transport issue is 'spoiling' a debate?

Your fear of Turkey joining the EU shows the depth of you racism.

do you seriously believe that the level of population and its rate of change do not affect UK policy issues like housing transport health care etc.
What particular issue do you feel are more relevant : nuclear disarmament, library closures, free copies of Marx's and Mao collected works?

Personally I think we are discussing it ad nauseum in so many threads on here (and repeating the same arguments every day), it would be nice to have a break on this thread, but that's just me

Because it's very tedious watching you rehash exactly the same argument over and over again.

It's not forbidden it's just boring. Change the bloody record.

I see it as somewhat difficult to discuss housing without also discussing housing demand:
However it's probably true that the majority of discussions completely ignore demand from the equation and mindlessly discuss price.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.
