Interesting as I beleive his selection by labour activists was based on his being the most Corbyn-identifying of the candidates.

It's funny. The Corbyn supporters are a bunch of rich middle class elitists who will support anyone vaguely left wing presumably because it assuages some of their guilt at having been successful in life without having to give up too much of their money.

The candidates, once selected, want to get as much distance between them and these champagne socialists as they can get because they need the votes of the working class.

If UKIP ever get their act together they will destroy the Labour Party. Labour is only really propped up by the unions and money from the state.

In what way is prediction about what might happen in 2019 "the real world"?

Haven't you worked it out yet? If a Tory predicts something happening, it's a pie-in-the-sky fantasy, especially if it's good news. If a socialist predicts something happening, it's indisputable scientific fact, especially if it's bad news.

So a financial report prepared by the Office of Budget Responsibility is Tory lies, but a report by the University of Wisbech that the polar ice caps will have completely melted in 2050 is proof that we must immediately return to agrarianism to save the planet, and anyone who says otherwise is an evil denier.

Does anyone care to inform me, how do Corbyn's policies (no seriously) compare to those in the more socialist of the developed world, specifically Sweden for example?

A friend lives in Sweden and seems to love it. I've never travelled there so no idea what it is actually like but I do admire what little I've heard of the social policies. Preferring to tax rather than borrow for a start. If you're going to do "big state", at least let it be transparent how much it's costing people.

Where has Corbyn gone? A lot going on and no public voice.

He seems to go to ground quite regularly. I wonder why. I suspect its because he gets overwhelmed by events as he really doesn't have the experience of leadership to have learned coping skills for when things get tough.

He should be making hay right now with Europe instead he's talking about student mental health. Mental health is an important and underfunded area but when the Tories have put themselves on the ropes is absolutely not the time to be discussing it.

What Mr Corbyn seems to be incapable of grasping is that if he gets in he can push through a huge amount of his agenda. In opposition he is basically powerless except to whinge from the sidelines.
