Morning all, so ds is at his Dads this weekend. I went to Ikea last night with Mum and was really good and only got a couple of bits (less than £5) and thought I was doing really well .... and then just before we got to the end I spotted an artificial weeping fig and fell in love :o Anyway, the sign said £35, it came up as £40 on the till, cue some haggling with the guy from me and I got it for £35 ;) It is now living in Mums conservatory until after I've moved so I haven't got the added stuff on moving day :) I did sign up for a family card so got a free kilner jar too :money:

Today I am seeing Mum, my brother and family and my sister and her family so that should be nice :) Then later I will load up the car for another car boot sale tomorrow (with leftovers going to the tip), pack some more boxes tonight, I need to do some food shopping (fridge stuff and lunchbox stuff). It's all starting to feel like it's happening at last, fingers crossed my damn landlord gets his @rse into gear this week and sends back his letter

Oooh, well done on the haggling, it sounds lovely.

Good luck on the car boot, got some stuff on ebay doing much better than my first round of ebay stuff. That all ends tomorrow.

Lost two bets in a row on the football so that is the end of my football betting days, I want to keep my losses at 5 pounds!!!

Wishing you a lovely remainder of the weekend. x

I went and did another car boot sale this morning - I knew I only had dregs left to sell but still managed to come away with £25 profit after my entry fee and a coffee, so quite pleased with that, a bit more to chuck in the savings pot :) The stuff that is left will be making its way to the tip this week, I'm not going there on a sunny sunday as it will be heaving.

I had a lovely day yesterday with my family, a rubbish nights sleep - no particular reason why. So now the car is unloaded, the tesco shopping is coming between 2-3pm, ds will be back about 4pm. I have ironing to do, various bits and pieces and some more packing to do. First though the hot water is on for a nice bath to make me feel half human again ;)

    I'm sorry to read this.

They need to read the article on the BBC which talks about interest rates for the next six months!

Am so gutted :( It's my bestie's birthday tomorrow and I was planning on taking her out for lunch but instead I've just bought us both a voucher for a spa at one of the top 10 hotels in the country (5 minutes from where I *still* live  ). Stuff it, might as well spend a bit of money on ourselves, not like a move is imminent now after all ;)
