I have that kind of day planned too.
What about sending the samples to a charity shop?0 -
Car is loaded up waiting for the tip to open - I've got loads of cardboard to go, 3 bin bags (with some of the junk mail mixed in with other rubbish), and some old drawers that were in the garage but have seen better days so may as well go to the tip now.
Having looked at what's left in there it falls into a few categories;- Camping stuff
- Decorating stuff
- Garden pots / compost
- Bikes
- Various DIY bits (drain rods etc)
- Odds and sods
Almost all of this will be coming with me, I just am not sure how to pack it / what to pack it in, although I'm currently heading more for having removal packers to do it for me anyway, it seems the additional cost of that isn't too great and it does take away an awful lot of stress

Smallholdingsister - I did think about that but then they will have to charge people for them and it says on them they are a sample, not for resale
I think I may take them into school and give them to the people who run D of E and see if they can give them out to the kids?
I've just sold another item on ebay, another fiver into the pot :TMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

I've just gutted the corner cupboard in my bedroom - it was a sentimental one; it has every book / piece of work ds has ever done at school, every school report, every birthday / christmas card ds has had / has given me, cards I was given when ds was born, even my diary from when ds' dad left me
Anyway, 2 bin bags have been filled, a few cute bits of work have been kept in a box, all school reports are in year order, and the cupboard is 75% empty now
More stuff for the tip! It's hard to chuck out ds stuff from when he was younger but I'm never going to look through the old school books, most have hardly anything in them anyway tbh ... Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Stuff taken to the tip, I still have the 2 bin liners from the cupboard, I couldn't fit any more in the car so will load them up and maybe take them tomorrow after work. The weathermen got it completely wrong, it's a beautiful day today so I could've done the car boot however at least I've been productive and got rid of a load of stuff that needed to go. Time for a little mooch on here then I may get going on another cupboard or drawer. If I can blitz them all like that then I won't need to pay for packers as it really won't take me long to sort it out myself into some boxes
