Thankyou Superpup and Florence - I know what I should be doing weight / exercise wise, this time last year I'd just lost 2 stone by using mfp and going to the gym - I used the gym, I did kettlebells and I ran 5k every weekend. But since then life got in the way, work got busy and I lost my way and put it all back on again. So I know what worked well, I just need to get my motivation back and stay on track. The first few weeks were the hardest, once I saw the weight coming off and I felt fitter it was no problem to carry on. Anyway, day one went well, I finished on 12,935 steps and was about 100 calories under my target. I even went to a friends last night and her hubby did a bbq and I didn't touch any of it :D

So today, I need to go to Sainsburys to collect a parcel, finish the bits from yesterdays list, do my 10,000 steps, tesco shopping is coming between 2-3pm and ds will be home about 3.

So I've had a nice day today, I went to a craft fair with a friend this morning, then Mum came round this afternoon. Tesco arrived on time, ds got back on time, we had a lovely roast lamb dinner, I took Mum home then walked the dog along the beach, came home and had a bath and then realised I'd only done 7,000 steps today, so have just walked round and round my flat until I hit 10,000. My flat is small and I wouldn't like to guess how many laps I had to do :o So at least tomorrow I will make sure I get my steps in at work so I don't have to do that again ;)

I've also done my tax credits form, done another load of washing, spoke to ex about ds birthday plans, so just the tax return and train route planning left from the weekend list.

I've stuck to my calories again today and have reached my steps goal. 2 days done, approx 118 to go :)

A fairly productive day at work, although I've only hit 5,000 steps so far today so I need to go out for a walk in a bit to up my numbers :)

Tonight will be spent doing a few admin type bits that need sorting then dinner, bath and an early night with the laptop :) Tomorrow I am out for a meal with workmates for someone who's leaving, the meal has already been ordered (pate, fish pie and chocolate brownie) so my calories will be bad but I will do lots of walking during the day to make up for it and will stick to salad for lunch to minimise the damage. It was already booked in advance and is a lovely restaurant (not enormous portions) so I will just enjoy it for what it is and then move on with the calorie counting :)

Been for a walk around the block, I'm up to 7,800 steps now, another 2,000 to go although I still have about 4 hours til bed so it looks like a few more laps around the flat tonight :p I will be pottering around anyway so that will rack up a few without even trying.

Dinner is in the oven now, I might potter for a bit as once I've eaten and had my bath I find it harder not to slump on the sofa, I need to get the steps out the way earlier rather than later so I can relax.

Dinner done, bath done, 9,600 steps done. A bit of sofa time, a few more steps, some surveys and I'll be done :)

  • I've just stumbled across your latest chapter (having really enjoyed reading your earlier diaries) and read from the beginning to now.

I empathised with partners and drink problems; and cheered at your slot successes but above all I was so proud of the pending house move (if that doesn't sound too weird?).

Then I shouted out loud at the post re your FTB's, before being once again amazed by how you've taken it in your stride.

You certainly come across as an amazing lady and I know that you'll get the house of your dreams because you of all people deserve to.

    Best wishes for the future.

Hey RCP :hello: It's been a mad journey this year, and I may seem calm about it all but I don't always feel it :o I guess I'm just resigned to not being able to do anything about the house situation so I need to not think about it too much.

Today was a long day at work, I got home at 8.30ish. It was the welcome evening for the parents of my new year group. Glad it's now done, it's finally beginning to feel like it's nearly the end of term :)
