  • Thank you so much everyone. I went back to find my new years resolutions the other night and I've accomplished most of them but while doing so I had a quick read through the first few pages. I too can't believe how far I have come. I'm so glad I did this and that DD had quite surroundings to revise and its proved that is what she needed.

Well the decorations are up here in Tink Towers :rotfl: I love that, and they have not yet been pulled down, still plenty of time lol.

Still have a few more presents to buy and money is a bit tight so I'm hoping I can manage it. Can't wait until next year when I have a bit more breathing space and money won't be so tight.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

    Take care.

You've definitely done the right thing for you and DD in the long run Tink, and I'm sure she's very proud of you :)

How is the dog socialising going? Still on track for staying at your moms Christmas Eve?

  • Hi Kirsty

Unfortunately we haven't been out much with the dogs so I don't think we will be staying. I must admit now we have the decorations up I don't mind too much. Looks very festive. We will stay for lunch and a bit of the afternoon and then spend the evening at home so he isn't on his own.

Have I mentioned that YNAB also offer a student discount if you haven't already bought it?

I always find that by early evening I want to get home on Christmas day. I won't be able to do that this year though! Oh dear! Just realised that!

You have definitely made some great choices for you and DD. So much has changed for so many of us this year, and it mainly seems to be on the up for us all!

Good luck with the last of your christmas shopping. My gifts are all in an organised heap in the hallway as I can't do much with them while I'm still having viewings.

Thanks MT. You're right about the changes that we have all made this year. But look at next year. You, Rosa and me are moving in the early part of the new year so I can't even think about how next year will end. Exciting times.

Pretty angry tonight. Had a letter from CSA to say that ex H can stop his payments in January through the CSA and that he can arrange to pay me outside of them. I'm pretty sure he will just end the payments but I did think that he had to pay while she was in further education. If he does stop them I'm not even going to ask him for them. If he can sleep at night not providing for his daughter then that's fine by me. I'm a big believer in karma. And at least that's another of the male species I don't have to have anything to do with again. It is his loss.

I still have a couple of gifts to buy but I need to get a new tyre on my car. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my tax credits will come through next week. Otherwise it will have to be bank of mum for a couple of days until pay day.

I feel like I need a big splurge but I know it will pass. I've done really well the later part of this year and usually at Christmas I have a bit more money to spend. At least my debt has taken a priority this year but the feeling is still there. Luckily I'm skint :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm going to wake up in a better mood tomorrow that's for sure.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I'm a big believer in karma too although I hope he does the right thing by both you and his daughter.

I'm starting to feel excited for 2017. I've been working on my bullet journal and will spend some time properly updating YNAB this week too. Lots of ideas swimming around my head.

I hope all is going well for you and you're not working too hard.
