  • Hello lovely people.

I can't believe how long has passed since my last update, time is flying. I can honestly say I have found my new me albeit in a sad way. We moved in and within the first week we just knew that the doggies weren't going to get along, so with a very heavy heart and lots of tears we have rehomed Mr D. I know it was for the best but it still hurts :heart2::sad::heart2: I won't go on about it though but I know he is being looked after and is having a better life that what we could offer.

So now that I have told the sad news let me tell you the good. I absolutely love my new job and my new colleagues. After working alone for so long I won't lie, I was scared of going into an office with other people. But they are lovely. There are only three of us and the manager but they are a great team. We are the finance department of a large company that is based in London and Liverpool. We are already arranging a night out and I have become really good friends with the girl I work with. Also, my wages have doubled  I have only had half a pay month and on Friday I will get a full month but I got my payslip today and nearly fell off my chair. Don't worry I am not going to blow it. My budget is well and truly set in stone until at least August then I will only have two debts to pay off.

The move went really well, we are all settled in now and I've even planted some veggies in tubs. I've got our rooms lovely and now mum wants us to do the rest of the rooms lol. We are halving all the bills and are already in credit with the gas and electric. We put the same amount towards the shopping each week and anything that is left over is put in a pot towards anything extra we might need in the week and in the longer term for anything for the house.

DD is sitting her GCSE's this week and through to June when it will be her Prom. I was dreading the expense but we have lovely friends and family so the cost has been minimal. Her sister runs a dress shop so they have gifted a beautiful dress to her, we are just waiting for it to arrive from the suppliers, my friend is doing her hair, my aunt is buying her shoes and my mum is buying her bag. My dad is also coming over to take professional photos of them. So I am left with paying for all the beauty treatments, fake tan, nails, make up etc and the limo. We are off to Liverpool on Saturday to get her shoes.

Is it wrong that I sometimes I think that it is all going too well and start worrying?

On a last note my debts have really reduced and I will have to look in my journal to update my totals on here. Oh yes, found out yesterday my manager has a bullet journal :j:j

I'm sure there is more to tell you but I think I have gone on for long enough, naughty Tink

    :rotfl:

    Take care.

So pleased that the new job is going well Tink, but I am gutted for you that you had had to rehome Mr D - like you say though, he is being well looked after and it will be for the best in the long run.

Excellent news about the pay increase too - it really sounds like it all coming together and no one deserves it more.

Look forward to the rest of the update :D xx

The job sounds like its just what you needed! A financial boost, a new circle of friends, and something that you enjoy going into, at the same time as being able to go home to the people who make you happiest I'm so so pleased for you.

Progress on your debts is amazing too!!!

I'm glad to hear you have a lot of help getting DD to the prom, exciting but expensive time :)
