    Hello Tink,

I've read The Secret. I have it on CD so that I can listen to it on my way to work as I find it really nice to listen to. I really like it, and it does make a lot of sense. I'd love to know what you think when you read it. It's a shame I don't know you in RL as I could copy the CDs for you! I may have a safe idea (where we don't need each other's details), so don't pay out for a book just yet!

Good luck on your MOT. I hope all this fuss is the worst part and it'll get through ok.

It's nice to have a decorating buddy! Although I'm trying to get mine sorted for a reason and I struggle with motivation so you put me to shame too!

Yay for reduced payments! Much better in your account than on their profit sheet!

Well ladies are you ready for it? £83.00 which included the MOT so yes MT, worrying about it was the worst part lol. I thought I would be looking at a couple of hundred. A car fund is definitely going in the budget now. Still looking ok budget wise, had to adjust it a bit to accommodate the MOT as I don't get paid until next week but its still ok.

MT and DIA - I love decorating once I get started but I too lack motivation sometimes. Its the same with ironing, once the board is out and I've started it I'm ok and can iron for ages.

MT I would love to know your safe way please. I had a look round all the charity shops yesterday and also in the library but I couldn't find it. The lady who recommended it to me told me to look in charity shops as they always turn up but it just wasn't my day yesterday and we went in a lot of charity shops lol.

I had a NSD today and I guess I could have had one yesterday as the money I spent was already budgeted for. I plan to try and have a few this month.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Woop woop and a big hug for your car :T:rotfl:

I haven't read The Secret, Martha Beck mentions it somewhere and adds her thoughts so I didn't get round to the original

Rosa - Big hugs is right, first thing tomorrow she's getting a clean inside and out :j

Bellevie - I am so back in love with my spread sheet :rotfl: I am printing September off and I'm going to stick it in my planner which I am also in love with. I'm feeling very organised at the moment and the pressure feels off a bit now for DD's birthday as I know I can afford it.

We are going to stay in a hostel. Has anyone any experience of these? It has a lovely looking room, the only thing I'm not sure about is the shared bathroom but we will only be sleeping and getting ready to go out so it should be fine. And we don't have to pay until we get there which is another stress relief.

I'm so glad I came back on here now, I'm feeling so much more positive and feel like that dark cloud has shifted.

Well I've finally updated my debt total and its £11025.92. Eight different ones. Not a lot more than original LBM but better than I thought with having to move at the beginning of the year. All but one are interest free and the largest is a family loan who is happy to wait until I am either full time or all other debts are sorted.

Your signature is looking super organised!

I haven't stayed in a hostel, but I have stayed in the budget hotels around the UK & in Paris where the toilet & shower's are communal. I've never had a problem there. Have you found reviews on the hostel? Are there any premier inns offering saver rates around the time you want to go? Prices can be as low as £29 - I've never looked in London so Im not sure if they offer the saver rates all over or just select branches!

Have you got a method for your debts? eg clearing the 'easiest' ones first? A couple of those are super low so hopefully you will have them out of the way in no time!!!

    Great news on the car.
    Well done on the upcycling.
I've never stayed in a hostel but it sounds like fun.
    Happy Sunday Tink

    Hi Tink

I've stayed in hostels for hiking but not recently in a city. If you have a private room it should be pretty much a hotel with shared bathroom.

Thank you all. I've not looked around much to be honest. It was my friend who was looking. I'll get a bit more information on Thursday.

I've got to make the most of this Thursday as it's the last one I have free. Why I hear you ask? :rotfl: only gone and got my extra day at work :j:j:j:j

Can't believe it. That's two good things so hopefully one more. Everything comes in threes. It's come at the best time ever when I'm super organised and need the money for the trip.

Also in less than three weeks I am starting studying again two nights a week which I'm super excited about as well.

Hope everyone is feeling great. The sun is shining here.
