as I said , BT account number is required to set up diversion
Can you divert my calls to another line while I'm waiting for the fault to be repaired?
Yes, you can do this when reporting a new fault online.
If you've already reported a fault you may be able to divert your calls to another landline or mobile. This can easily be done online by following the steps below:- Go to online fault reporting and select Track a fault
- Enter the telephone number or the fault reference number of the line the fault was reported on
- Click View faults
- Depending on the type of line you have you'll be asked to either:
Click on View details and on the following page enter your account number
or
Enter your account number and click on More details - Under What to do next, click on divert incoming calls
- On the divert incoming page complete the required details
- A divert confirmation page will be displayed when you've finished

The MoneySavingExpert.com forum is a place to share info and tips with others, discuss MoneySaving and pick up ways to save. We hope you'll enjoy it, but ask you to remember it's a broad church with many different types of people. Follow these basic rules to make it a good place to be.
Please be nice to all MoneySavers:
There's no such thing as a stupid question and, even if you disagree, courtesy helps.
Please be sensitive:
This may be a web forum, but you're still talking to other human beings. Repeatedly or harshly saying someone's wrong, especially on boards like DebtFreeWannabe, Bankruptcy or Benefits, can lead to upset.0 -

I have just looked up the meaning of Troll and I don't understand how my post would have

paragon909 wrote: »lol, A caller doesn't just call BT and say there is a fault on the line, BT like every telecoms company run a line check that checks the line for faults. It's for BT to tell the customer there is a fault.... It's actually called call diversion on telephones. Am not sure how this would matter, Am not aware of any banks that ring customers with a 4 digit pin code, Normally banks will display a pin on you're online banking for the customer to enter when automatically called by the bank... Maybe this is what OP means.
But I don't know any bank that does this for forgotten information, If you forget information and don't have certain details they send you out new details to login.
And to get a loan, They of course do a credit check, And am sure you would need to sign a agreement for that amount, If this is a troll post, Then am sure the bank has ways of telling if it's the real customer such as, call recordings and voice comparison. IP check i.e. what IP logged into to take out a loan.
if you bank with santander and want to set up a new payee they call you with a passcodeVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
