AT LAST !! AT LAST !! WHOOPEE
I have totally finished the Hugemungeous toad of the ROD :j
All the paperwork you are meant to keep for seven years is now sorted.
I have put in neatly labelled files all the stuff for the last 12 months into lever-arch files, duly sectioned, labelled and in date order. These are on two shelves of the cupboard, together with a cut-down box holding spare scrap paper, envelopes to re-use and some odd bits of lined paper pads.
All the older stuff is tied into separate labelled piles and packed into labelled boxes on the top shelf of the cupboard. The games and boxes are on another shelf, the spare grocery stock on another two shelves and our suitcases and brief-cases on the floor of the cupboard.
There is a small amount of addresses etc from discarded paperwork for DH to shred and the last of the old papers, magazines and such are boxed ready for the recycling depot at the weekend.
The desk-top is empty apart from clock, pens and paperclips and I now need to buy a couple of trays so can have a pending tray and a filing tray. I have emptied out, cleaned and put back things to keep in the desk drawer and cupboard.
All the cassettes are sorted onto two shelves by the music centre and all the maps are on the shelf under the table. DH's music books are away in his seat, his drumming pads and sticks are under the keyboard, the guitar on its stand next to it and his other bits in his table drawer.
PHEW !! It was a long job but I'm soo pleased it's done and thanks to all the inspiration from you lovely flyers on this thread :T

Hello flyladies! I rarely post - normally only when I have a few days annual leave and I'm not going anywhere so blitz the house - but I often lurk. I have a question I think you can help me with! I need a new iron - I usually buy the cheapest and they last about a year but it takes me forever to get OH's shirts done and sometimes some creases just won't come out.
Any recommendations? I've got probably £80 in Tesco points so can spend a bit if I need to - they will double to £160 - but are these steam generator ones really worth it? Or should I just buy the second cheapest and hope for the best?
Thanks in advance, you are a lovely group of ladies when I lurk!0 -

Well pleased with myself! Also walked dog, got children to tidy their room and all had time to sit and do some crafting with them. Isn't it funny how one day you can achieve nothing and the next loads?
Lynne, well done on the toad :j
Doobop hi, I've got a steam generator and it's great, I only have to iron one side. It has lasted me seven years so far, so was worth the extra, although the one I bought was one of the least expensive at the time. Mind you, maybe the reason it has lasted is because I keep putting off the ironing (still have record breaking ironing pile)0 -
Evening all
Well done on the weight loss bossy
Hope the poorlies are as well as can been and IMprovement and recovery are underway.
Went over to see my mum today, so took a box of books and DVDs, a bag of clothes and her birthday hamper so some space cleared. Had a lovely day we went up a park near hers and then had tea and her homemade cake.

Took ds2 to meet my sister, niece & great niece at a farm park and garden centre. In the coffee shop Ds2 refused to sit at the same table as the relatives so we had to sit on the next one.we had a pleasant 35 mins then moved on to the animals at which point the rain turned heavy. He then refused to move so we had to return home. I haven't been before but he has with school a few time so is prepared to go back in better weather.
Master bed & ds2's bed changed and laundry done
Several frog calls made and received.
Ds1's gf has got her first job.0 -

Lynnejk amazing; wouldn't you like a trip to Herts so you can organise my office???
Done over half of my miscellaneous list, although I do keep adding things to it.
Most rooms are relatively clear by now, owing to recent visitors and window fitters. Not a lot to add really, too bitty to itemise!
Tomorrow:
- post parcel on way to gym
- body pump at gym
- 2 students at uni
- coffee with new assessor at uni
- doubtless more vacuuming when I get home; hopefully bay window will be in so I can replace plants etc on windowsill. I guess the kitchen windows will be next, so will need to move everything out of the way (2 windows: several plants, toaster, slow cooker, kettle and in fact most of the "stuff" that dwells on the worktop is all on the window side of the room).
- continue with misc listRemember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
