How many groups do you do?

Currently two. A Tuesday morning group and a Tuesday evening group with 2 sessions which is my biggest group.

Best role I have ever had in my life. It's amazing to see people change over time and achieve their goals and dreams.

It's so special to have played a part in giving somebody their self esteem back.

    Goosebumps time!!!

Thanks Ali, that means a lot.

Being a SW consultant is a truly magical role. I'm also help other Consultants to be the best they can be and to give 100% service to members.

SW is a great company to work for. In fact, I don't feel like I go to work at all - it's what I do during the day, and I get paid for doing it.

Thanks Tilly, and well done on your achievements. You're such an inspiration!!

Well I wanted to start the day well this morning but awoke with a terrible headache so I've grabbed the paracetamol and the ibuprofen and I'm waiting for it to kick in. It's strange you know, the 40p packets of P & I from my corner shop are so much more effective than expensive alternatives. Or seem to be.

    Got loads to do today....

Support my members from yesterday's groups

Send welcome letters out to my newbies (5 of them!)

Support my newbies who joined last week and who lost 3lb, 4lb, 4.5lb, 4.5lb, 6lb, 7lb, 7.5lb & 8lb !!!!!! I'm SO proud of them - and with a bank holiday weekend thrown in too!!!:T:T:T

Contact my absentees to see if they're ok and can make another group later in the week.

Support members who've gained weight this week. Remind them why they joined and let them know I'm here for them if they're struggling.

Update my Plan For Success document which is where I do all my planning for group.:j:j

So once my headache goes, I'll be on it like Sonic:rotfl:

Oh and I've to update YNAB with all the direct debits which went out yesterday, and go out to do my banking and to buy some fruit and veg!!:)

I'm seriously considering SW, but what would you recommend is the best MSE way to do it. I can't commit to a weekly group I don't think - but shall I go for a week to get the bumpf? Buy it off fleabay? Joining online makes my eyes water ,but if someone said pay £60 and lose 4 stone, I'd do it. Or another way? If I'm putting you in a position and you don't want to answer, that's cool!

Or you could open a virtual group and I'd join that!! :-)

    Hi DFoD,

My advice to you would be....

    1) Please don't buy a pack off Fleabay. There's some unscrupulous people who go to group, get a pack and then flog it online. They're peddling misery. You'll end up paying a fortune for something you can get in group for £9.95, but get no support going forward.
SW have acted to stop this by selling packs themselves on Fleabay for £19.95 which I believe contain a voucher which you can redeem to give you two free weeks in group so people aren't ripped off.

    2) If you join this week or next with a copy of this week's W0man's 0wn, there's a free membership voucher within so it'll just be £4.95 for your first week.

    3) Stay for the first meeting - and then give it a serious 100% in your first week. It'll show you two important things, one, that the plan works, and two, that you are capable of following it. Once you know this, you'll feel amazing. Go back in Week 2 to see how well you did. Use the £5 you saved with the WO voucher to pay for this week!!! Make sure you stay to receive the admiration of your fellow slimmers when they hear how you've done. You'll feel a million dollars!!!:T:j:T:j:T:j:T

    4) If it's cost that's holding you back, a Countdown will save you a bit of money as you get a free week chucked in. The weekly fee is £4.95 at the end of the day. I square this away by thinking "If I'm following SW, then I'm not going to be having takeaways so I've saved the weekly fee right there!":rotfl:In fact in my YNAB, I budget the money I used to budget to Takeaways to SW Fees;)
If the commitment to the same night every week is what's stopping you, remember that you can weigh in at any group in a particular week. I have many members who work shifts and one week they'll come to 9:30am, the next they'll come to 7:30pm, or even go to another colleague in a Wednesday group. This is what I do. My night is Wednesday, but if I can't get there, I go on a Thursday.

    5) The support of a group is vital - its 60 minutes once a week to focus solely on yourself and what you need to do to reach your goal.

    6) You know I'll support you all I can. I just rejoined last Wednesday so we can be slimming buddies if you wish. However, there is no substitute for being in group, especially if it's getting tough. Being with like-minded people means you don't feel like it's just you that's struggling.

Whatever you decide, I'm right there with you
