Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

  • Not really in a position to offer but going to view inside next sat, if we can get any sense out of the agent. She told me there wasn't a house on the site - there is. And not to go into the yard with the horses - there are none.

How much do you reckon...roof, wire, replaster, 2 storey extension...at the moment the kitchen is a belfast sink and a rayburn.

It might be cheaper to knock it down and rebuild, but what a WASTE!

I have been researching rebuild/renovation costs.

Of course, used to be a librarian for surveyors :)

    Zero emissions buildings are possible.
  • I am thinking use the existing
air or ground source heat pump if we can find a quiet one
    solar cells on the roof
    really good insulation.
