Eek, if I don't post in the next 4 minutes it will be tomorrow. Pretty good day.
- did zumba
- dead headed lots of flowers
- ripped out all dead mangetout pea plants to make way for more seeds
- watered greenhouse, hanging baskets, patio and anything vulnerable. So dry here. It took an hour to water that lot!
- picked a load of beans (French, borlotti and runner)
- washed up various pans (again)
- gave fridge/freezer and dw a good wipe down
- made German Gooseberry cake - was that from your recipe Ionafan? I put peaches in it. Yum.
- kondo folded a basket of washing
- did another load & hung out
- lots of admin plans re new contract; emailing the 2 other assessors so we're planning to meet and organise ourselves
- got acceptance from 2 latest assessment reports, which means I can send invoices out
- lots of other bits in garden, some serious hacking going on today.
Oops it's now tomorrow. Glad everyone had a fairly good day.
ended by having quick look for meteor shower but it's cloud and drizzle here.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Online at stoopid o'clock cos I mentioned The Dress and Mr LW wanted to see what I was on about. I don't think he believed that such a garment could actually be knitted.:D
It's in a way a good thing though, it's taken both our minds off tomorrow (today??)' s business with the horse-piddle.
I may just declutter a very large sherry.......If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Morning everyone
CY great news. I try not to dwell on these things but I wonder if DS will ever be able to move out. Its heartening to know what can be achieved and I wish her well.
My teenagers are arguing all the time. They are so rarely nice to each other and look for any excuse to snipe, bicker and wind each other up. Sigh.
Not sure what the plan is for today. Paid stuff this morning, gym tonight and DS really needs to go back to the docs with his ingrowing toenail. The argument that DS2 had with his mate seems to have resulted in no-one speaking to him, and he doesnt even know why. Feel so sorry for him but I suspect it will all blow over soon.
At least the sun is shining! Going to get a shower and get ready for the paid stuff.0 -
Hello lovelies - and so begins another day....
Yorkshirelass - kids can be very cruel sometimes, so your son has my sympathies. Hoping he makes it up with his mates soon.
Things have been stressful here recently which has been difficult. DH and I have been arguing a lot about money, which makes me sad. We had a more civilised talk last night and I hope he understands my concerns a bit more. Having said that, he's off to the gym tonight :silenced:
Living room is already looking much better thanks to this thread, so today will be less traumatic than on previous occasions.
I've got lots of other "stuff" to get through today - let's see how far I get!0 -
Hope your sherry resulted in a good night's sleep, LW
After a rotten sleep the previous night, when I had not taken any painkillers, I remembered to take them last night and slept right through until 6.45 - feeling so much better this morning
CY, that is great news about both your DDs. I hope DD2's fiance gets good medical advice when they return home. And you must be chuffed to bits about DD1's improving health - I'm so pleased for you all :T
Narc0, the German recipe works well with many different kinds of fruit including black-/redcurrants and blackberry/apple: enjoy experimenting
Yesterday I only managed to do SW and the shopping because I was so tired. This evening another SW couple are coming to a meal with us, so my list for today looks like this:
Wipe down the kitchen cupboard fronts, including kickboards, and get those door handles hygienically clean!
Give DR and kitchen tables a polish, wipe down the chairs too.
Give the hob a good shine!
Empty and sort wooden spoon drawer and wipe it out.
Clear the coffee table and wipe it
Shake rugs and cushions outside
Dust pictures
Hoover all through downstairs, inc sofas
Steam mop hard floors
Clean LR, kitchen and DR windows
Polish mirrors
Make iced yogurt for dessert
Post 2 birthday cards
[STRIKE]Hell[/STRIKE] (typo ) Help at church light lunch from 10.30-2.00
Prepare starter and dessert
Prepare veg
Lay table – don’t forget drinks
Lamb has already marinaded overnight
Best get started, then...
Catch up later. Hope everyone has a good day. (((Hugs))) - especially to YL - and spoons / sticks all round, as needed x0 -
Morning all
Hoovered and dusted 3 bedrooms and landing last night. Hooverbag full of fluff now and waiting for ones I ordered online to arrive so no more hoovering until they do.
WM on with DS1's bedding as him and gf are away for 2 nights. Last time I'll be doing it as he moves out in 10 days - seems a bit of a flylady thing atm.
Need to do all my financial bits on here and then cricket, hope the weather improves. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
