Well yesterday had it's ups and downs. Hoping for a better day today.

Message from DD2 yesterday that her fiance was in hospital. Same symptoms as he had when hospitalized in York in January. They have confirmed that his heart and chest are fine ( he went in with chest pains and pins and needles in his arm ) but suspect he is a coeliac. When in hospital in York he was never tested, they just told him he had IBS.

DD2 is just about coping with the situation. Having to get herself back to the hotel on her own was very hard for her. Thankfully they have now told his mum what is going on, so they are getting support from her as well. If I didn't have this stupid illness I would have offered to fly out to help....

On a positive note DD1 took me on a trip out yesterday - we went round to the charity shop I volunteer in. I was knackered when we arrived, but I managed about an hour sitting chatting in the back and it was lovely to see the people I normally work with. There was the added bonus of a lovely work colleague from work recognising my voice and looking into the back to say hello.

DD1 nipped into the local shop and got me some indigestion remedy. After 3 doses I am pleased to say I feel a lot more comfortable. I have managed to get off the big anti sickness tablets earlier than last time, so feeling quite positive about that.

Hope everyone has a good day....

And Pigpen that ring is beautiful....

GWS vibes winging their way to your DD2's fianc!, CY, and calming vibes for you and her. What a nasty interruption to their holiday. I hope he is discharged soon, and feels well enough to relax and enjoy the rest of their stay. That reminds me - I meant to send GWS wishes for your mum and coping vibes for your sister too. I know it's hard for you when your instinct tells you that you want to help everyone else in need, when you have to accept that this time you have to put yourself first, and I imagine that you are keeping your phone charge well topped up! I'm glad you had a nice outing yesterday, and that you are off the a-s tablets already.

Having woken up early and made and drunk a cuppa (always the best of the day!) I am about to start work. Breakfast will not be eaten until 9.30 after weigh-in ;) but frankly I'm still full from yesterday, when we followed the plan to the letter - well, I did, but can't vouch for DH as there are always cakes at their monthly 009 meetings

It's a grey start to the day here. Much as I love the sun, my garden (on very sandy soil) is suffering badly from lack of water. Yesterday we had 2 minutes of hail  but that wasn't much help!

Must get on... Hope everyone has a good or better day today. (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round x

Hi all, just checking in quickly.

CY sorry to hear your news. Hope they get to the bottom of it this time.

DS2 fell out with one of his friends yesterday and another 2 jumped on the bandwagon, all over nothing, poor kid. OH was brilliant though and took DSs mobile off him and told the other kid what he thought! Not sure if it was the right thing to do but I was proud of how he handled it.

Might suggest a little trip out somewhere this aft. Got to get ready for paid stuff first though!

    Morning flyladies. Welcome back frodders.
CY - hope that today is less eventful.

    My plan for today:

    Wash up the breakfast dishes
    Hoover downstairs
Drop car off at garage, walk dogs back
    Go on organised walk
    Make soup
    Do ironing
    Plant seeds
    Look at list

All can be deferred apart from garage and organised walk. I so love being off the paid stuff.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

  • Morning all,

Did finish my list last night, except for paying a bill. Ended up taking dog for a walk in the dark, and had a close encounter with an owl, it was lovely.
