Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Thank you Natty for last week's thread
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

I'm in bossy. Thanks for the lists both of you.
I've been fluttering manically in the background, but the house is taking shape. Nearly died when DH said on Sat night that we had a friend coming for lunch on his route through to Malaig. I managed to cobble together lunch before going to church, but he had to live with the clutter.
Next time we have visitors - 2nd weekend in September. I want this place to be sparkling.
((((hugs))) and spoons to those in need. Glad you have company LW
12 weeks and counting. It will be 3 months on 16th. Yayyyy.
Will try and fly properly this week. I am going south to see the parents for the first time in 18months, and my godmother for the first time in over 2years on Saturday. A little apprehensive as I lost my licence on the way back from seeing her then.
Will definitely be posting this week and will need lots of encouragement.
Glad you got the bike back bossyGoals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
I'm in. Not a bad weekend for getting a bit of stuff done - mix of work, garden, socialising.
This week I like the sound of Monday Mayhem as I'm a bit of a pick'n' mixer anyway. I want to catch up as much as I can to officially tackle the enormous frog/room of doom which is my office. The new windows are going in from 17th and they are apparently starting with my office. Hm, that will be a huge challenge to make access to window possible/clear away everything in order so I can find it again/protect computer etc from dust. But a challenge with a purpose and deadline; there is no way I can wriggle out of doing this.
Apart from that:
1 report to finish and send tomorrow
2 students on Wed pm at uni
1 student at home pm thurs
Fri take MIL to cataract op
2 birthdays to remember
As much exercise as possible pre-holiday with my mum
More fruit to freeze (as I adore apricots, was thrilled to see them in Ald1 special, punnet of 7 for 49p. Guess who bought 10 punnets.....and 24 peaches also on special).
More weeds to pull.
Lots of dust to declutter.
Ditto webs.
You get the picture.
Happy flying everyone except CY and happy resting to you.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Hi Pigpen. Thanks for the list Bossy.
I seem to have spent most of the weekend cleaning/tidying/decluttering so the house doesnt look too bad. There is always more to do though. Oh and DS is having a friend to sleep over tonight so the dog is going for a sleepover at my parents (we have to be a bit careful with him around people he doesnt know well and its easier if he is out of the way).
Tired this morning, need to get ready for paid stuff.0 -
Morning all
Thanks for the thread Bossy (hope you are still enjoying doing it)
CY and FBO strength and love for you both this week girls, you are an inspiration.
Paid stuff for me, going in early for a meeting but will then leave early, go and buy a couple of bits for DH's birthday which is today, get a cake (actually DS2&3 can do this), do a food shop.
Humid here, rain is on the way. I'm on top of the laundry, that's about it. Carpet fitting should be finished today as well so I'll try to hoover and dust a bit later.
Kids to hoover out my car and sweep up plums , loving delegating. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
