What sunshine - yesterday I got soaked going to the PO, looked down at my sodden feet and these white balls were bouncing back at me - think you call them hailstones :rotfl: Never stopped, rain, hail, sleet :(

Today, well today we have heavy rain - so far - lashings of it. Looks like we may have had our "summer" which was 2 days earlier in the week :)

  • Now I've never thought about hoovering the artificial grass, and I've always just brushed it. I may well consider that, as it must be easier?

You now need to join the TT challenge! I'm the same as you, I always sit down with morning brew and log onto online banking. Quick pennies transfer to everyday esaver, then every Sunday I OP the pot.

Certainly easier to hoover the grass - amazed at the amount of dog hair stuck to it . It really is an outdoor carpet! Just make sure it's well stuck or nailed down and not too much suction, perhaps try a small area first. Wouldn't want to be responsible for any bare patches or it lifting :)

Not sure I can predict how much will come from TTing and won't TT on any days where my balance will fall below £5k as it's getting 4% interest on that, whereas the Saver only gets 0.75%, so it's left over of the leftovers..if that makes sense :)

Sun's gone in now and the clouds are gathering. Have dropped the boys off at the cinema - tickets and food - £27 . Week's half term activities total cost @ £34 so can't complain, though think might be adding chip shop dinners tonight to that as that's what they fancy to eat.

Nice to be enjoying the house to myself for a couple of hours :)

Quite a few financial bits to post this morning.

    £1 TT'd to holding pot, making £1.84 :D

Food shop finally done with a spend of £19.64.

    Postman brought:

    - annual increase to part of pension contribution letter, so budget sheet update done

    - letter for DS re new H$BC accounts - they apparently can't verify our address. Weird, can only guess someone bodged on the copying in branch last week of my driving license and DS's bank statement. Await someone to look into it from the team next week.

    Jobs for today:

    - round robin of housework
    - DIYer back to replace under sink part
    - find recipes using leeks as I bought some in the Super5 and haven't got a clue :rotfl:
    - check car insurance renewal date and start getting quotes

    Financial checks:
    - bank account checked
    - Inbox £s - up at £19.01
    - Qmee - up at 78p
    - Another £3 requested from P!necone
    - joined LuckyPhone last night, so an extra check to do along with FPL

Have a good weekend all :)

Thanks Hidden, I've found this page that looks quite good too (mainly because I've got all the ingredients to make 1 or 2 of them!)

The chicken, leek and pasta bake is topping the list at present as DS will probably eat it!

  • Mm, that one looks good! Might have to add it to our recipe list.

Things seem to be progressing with extension plans. We have just submitted planning application so it's going slowly here. We sometimes make risotto to make use of leeks.
