Would that be the H@lifocks by chance?!

I took DS on the last one which probably didn't help as he looks much older than his age! Along with passport, birth cert and his other account statements from there...still had to watch 2 videos to open his JISA and re-do the Reg Saver. Advisor was very apologetic!!

The H$BC application was 6 pages long and unreal - had to give his school details for that one!

I'm sure the Spanish Bank will laugh tomorrow when I turn up with the old A&L cheque book and debit card from year dot....same account though!

It wasn't actually it was NW. I'd had previous dealings with Hafilax where I opened account ns for both boys at the same time but had to watch the video twice. So this time I refused to go there! All sorted now though and no more kids planned!!!!

    Video twice is madness SJ!

Visit to Spanish Bank and new card request sorted, also a request to add the electricity supplier as it wasn't on their cashback list.

Opticians appointment meant we were in town over lunchtime and a hungry teen is never good...into B00ts for meal-deals that were paid for from points - yum to a free lunch

New lenses for glasses needed - £59 minus £15 loyalty discount (an independent I've been with for years) and £44 paid. Using current frames as nothing wrong with them and am rubbish at finding ones I like anyway :rotfl:

Free parking and a meander around a street fayre with groups singing made it a good couple of hours out.

Home for rest of day, bit of work done. Sunshine is only now trying to poke through, certainly warmer though and great to fling the windows and french doors open. Come on summer!! :)

Glad to hear all is going well, Ali. :)

All the chat on hear about moving bank accounts is why I cannot face it. Will talk about it every now and then but still loyal to Natwest. :o

There's been a hint of summer here too this evening. Weather has been brilliant in Cornwall for the past couple of weeks (was on holiday there) but apparently not for the rest of the country.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500
  • For a change, we had sun over the past week. That's probably our summer over until the first week in September.

Great to see you back Alex and holiday sounds great with such lovely weather - seems to have been quite an East/West divide this past week. Sun finally got through at tea time today, hopefully a sunny and warm one tomorrow.

I've split my bank account this time, hence having to move the DDs myself which was a bit of a faff, but usual organised self made a list and some were easy to change online and some I had to phone.

N@twest pretty good for the utilities cashback now? You could always open a current account elsewhere just for savings - the T3sco 3% one doesn't need any DDs or minimum funding. :)

:D Sure I jinxed our weather buying the BBQ during the few hot days we had early May! :rotfl:

My holiday was brilliant. :D Will admit we were very lucky with the weather though. :)

:rotfl: Only you could cope with that account move!

Will check the Tesco 3% account, if nothing else it may be a good place to store my emergency fund. Thanks. :) I'll admit some of the reason I don't move from Natwest is a fear of rejection after ****ing up my credit score. More than learnt my lesson now and paid my dues but convinced the banks would have warning alarms going off upon seeing the mere sight of my name flash up on their new business screen. :o

Garden to water still and DS's stuff is all ready for back to school.

Car needs fuel but can do that tomorrow.
