Totally agree Beanie. Icing on the cake would be a Martin hologram that pops up when I've put something in a website shopping basket asking me 'if I need it, can I afford it, will I use it, is it cheaper elsewhere and have you checked for cashback' :D :rotfl:

Olbas tissues sound good..bet that's a rude awakening without a cold

Think FPs are for current accounts - not seen them show up anywhere else as quick...especially not mortgage accounts ;)

    Interest in for 2 accounts, Ll0yds - £15.61 and TSB - £7.77. T3sco due mid month.

Emptied Qmee pot - £2.03 on its way.

Spanish Bank still not applied the capital payment, even though it shows received on 31st and is sat in the mortgage account! I have to wait until they 'convert it to OP'. Frustrating.

DS has a friend here today so scouring freezer for providing an extra lunch and dinner.

Taking it easy - bit of work admin and a bit of housework. Still grey and chilly outdoors.

It's so exciting having a new account, and a major spreadsheet addition! As for cold I've just entered my terrible hay fever phase (the month of June is horrid for me) so it's like a permanent cold! Walking round with a toilet roll as packet tissues only last about an hour! My face is the only safe place as its like a mini bunker!

New account has given me a spreadsheet challenge this time!

Feel for you with hay fever :( I'd be a nightmare, as I am with this cold :rotfl:

It worries me how easily those savings could be spent so saving more to try and future proof it a bit! Plus I upped pension by another £150 a month this year. Somehow still seem to be balancing everything just about!

Thanks for asking about Mum. She's doing ok, goes down, comes back a bit, but less than before each time. Hanging on for the new baby due in the autumn she says :D

Here we go - Post just arrived from Ll0yds for DS saying the Under 19s current account is having interest reduced from 2.5% to 1.5% from September. They've hit kids twice this year with the Young Saver reduction. Will have to start hunting around for another account for him, but as he hits 16 in September, I'm hoping he might be able to jump on the switching account bandwagon :)

Statements for his other accounts been arriving too - @ £7 a month interest going into this HSBC 3% account and @ £9 added to his 3% JISA - that goes up to 4% from 16 :j

Ended up quite a productive day. Fed the boys a languishing pizza from the garage freezer at lunchtime and made a batch of spag bol for dinner. They've gone off with DB and family to the cinema tonight to see X-Men and am expecting it to be a late night.

Had to dodge a baby bunny en route to dropping them off that decided to cross a busy road - traffic was slow and heavy, said bunny hopped off the kerb and sat in the middle of the road on the lines. I got past ok, chap behind moved forward and stopped in the queue - said bunny then hopped underneath his car and last I saw was the driver had got out and was looking for it. Hopefully it got to the verge safely :)

Housework done downstairs and work month end all wrapped up.

Ald! weekly food shop done tonight - £26.80 spent.

Cold starting to dry up, hopefully a good nights sleep and I'll be feeling normal tomorrow - just in time for the weekend and some very overdue sunshine and warmer temps!

Aww DFOD, nothing you can do in those situations :( .

I love the countryside even though wandering nature has it's downsides - saw chickens roaming freely in a front garden and a couple of ducks on a verge further en route :)

Mortgage account updated and interest for June showing - £231.85. Down £1.60 on last month or 5p a day. That 3 day wait due to weekend/Bank hols to pay the capital cost me 15p!

    Stacks up at:

    £15,115 - £32.80 or £1.08 per day
    £92,225 - £199.05 or £6.55 per day

All the DDs from the 123 account now showing except electricity and gas - plenty of time though as not due until the 15th.

Annoyingly, I've got to go into branch to apply for a debit card tomorrow. Have to prove being the account holder. Least 2 hours free parking on a Saturday and I've an opticians appointment in town anyway.

On today's agenda - upstairs housework, washing and some work stuff. Hopefully say goodbye to this cold today too!

Banks and their bizarre rules. I had to sit through the sales spiel for a children's account for DD despite having done it 2 months earlier for DS2. Everything about me wanted to say forget it I'll go elsewhere but I really wanted all the kids accounts in the same place for ease, so manned up! They must have thought I was a right miserable sod...
