Pity you don't know someone that would stick his thumb in plaster for the exam and you say it's part of his treatment!

Mid-month slump almost over with pay myself day on Friday and mortgage capital day on 31st May - damn the 28th falling on a Saturday and a Bank Hols to boot! Currently set for £825 to go.

    Money Out
£44 on the food shop last Saturday
£31 fuel fill up using a £2 off T3sco points voucher

    Money In
    £10 in 20p's banked
£20 in £2 coins ready to bank

Latest Sky discount means our package is down at £16.82 from £25.75 for 12 months :)

£750 earmarked for savings. No big bills due next month (hopefully!)

I think the extension plans have gone in for Building Regs but not had confirmation from the architect yet. 5 weeks estimate for approval there.

NHS Physio appointment tomorrow, actually looking forward to that! Clear result from breast screening, phew.

Looking forward more though to the first full month of gross interest on accounts and have started to look for yet another decent interest account - Spanish Banks 123 could be the pick - cashback would cover the fee and enough scope to build up a sizeable extension savings pot :)

Still working through a mammoth To Do list, least not added much to it this week!

Just lost my post - my fault for typing in the dark. Long story short.

I loved my spanish account, you won't go wrong there. Good discount on your sky and on moving forward with your extension.

For me, hate when the 1st lands on a weekend with a public holiday on the Monday.

Tried to phone the Spanish Bank to convert the account I already have (for mortgage interest DD) to a 123 account and find out about switching just the relevant DDs for the cashback..it's all automated! I can convert online, but guess I'd need to contact every company to update account details - I don't want to switch my account entirely. Will do it next week when I've hopefully got more time to contact the relevant companies to change DD details.

Just as complicated has been the complete c**k up by the taken over accountants . Ended my relationship with them today and DD cancelled, but also ended up on the phone to HMRC direct sorting the mess out. Now done.

Electricity switch takes place on the 1st, will keep a beady eye on current supplier as their account management/billing was truly awful for the first 6 months..it could take a while to get a final bill!

On the plus side, yet another P!necone survey completed and with 1 product arrived to review and another on it's way to me, that'll be another 2 paid surveys to come :)

    Other financials:
    - bank accounts checked - paid myself today too :j
    - freepostcodelottery and DOB Lotto being checked
    - LP throwing points at me regularly - now at £6.05
    - Inbox £s up at £8.09
    - Qmee up at £2.03 - they're now offering surveys and already completed 2 at 48p each :)
    - still got £20 in £2 coins to bank

First June birthday card and voucher posted off 2nd class today, the rest are written and ready to go.

Usual Friday night housey tasks done and washing underway - am working tomorrow morning and we're out tomorrow evening. Plan to catch up with other stuff on Sunday.

DS has alot of homework to do over the holiday, I've got some work to deliver, so hoping to keep spends low, maybe a M33rkat movie midweek if something good on.

Still got food shop to do - probably get that done later this evening after I've watered the garden. Lovely sunshine here, but really need some rain as the water butt is almost empty again. I should be careful what I wish for really!

After a dull and chilly Bank Hols weekend, we've rain today so the water butt and garden will benefit.

Food shop came to £22.14, pleased considering it's half term and DS snacking.

It's also MOP Day :j. £825 capital gone and Spanish Bank have been phoned.

    Scores on the doors:

    Dec 13 - £133,444
    May 16 - £108,165
    Jun 16 - £107,340

Split £92,225 stays as is, whilst the £15,940 is now £15,115. OP was quite small at £138.07 and am behind on my MFW16 £12991 target for the year at £5,650, but the savings are earning more in interest.

Still sorting out another account to save into as well!
