Day two of boiler installation. Looking forward to my bath this evening!

Its our wedding anniversary today - 20 years  The day we got married was about the hottest day ever. I was absolutely cooking in my wedding dress!!!

We had a lovely day. Reception was on a boat on the Thames with a Jazz band playing :)

Love him so much - more now than I did then I think :o

    Morning all.
Off again today having had only 1 day back at work since coming home from hols on Sunday. I'm very fortunate that my employer is so flexible. I normally work 4 days a week but during the summer hols they let me do my hours over 3 days. Obviously means I'm there much longer those days but it is soooooo worth it! And I mostly get to choose which days I want off tho they are so good to me that if they want me there on a certain day, I make sure I am. I count my lucky stars that I never get the Sunday night dread as I really like my job and the people I work with. Helps that my boss is 15 years younger than me and a male so I get to boss him about a fair bit.....:rotfl:
Other parts of life are so rubbish that's it's good to have a bit that is good.
Sorry for the essay......don't even know where it came from or why I wrote it but there you are lol!
Weather is quite nice here although the forecast is for rain

The job sounds ideal Leo , sorry about the other parts xx

    Morning all.
Busy day today. Got to take Mum to hospital to visit partner as her lift has let her down and she is far too fragile to drive herself. Spent an hour on the phone trying to lift her spirits a bit, and to get her to eat. She is only little, and has lost so much weight. She weighs about 6 stone now and looks so ill. I cried at how she looked when they got home from holiday at the end of June, and she's lost a stone since then.
Hospital wants to send partner ( D) home, so need to get them to provide a hospital bed so he can be cared for properly. It will have to go into the lounge as he is not to go upstairs. They said er would get a care package, but have given no details. I'll have to speak to someone today to find out what is going to happen.

I'm feeling quite low and tearful today, so looking forward to a meet with VT this afternoon. She cheers me up no end. We're having our pre cruise pedicure. Talking of the cruise, I told Mum I would cancel it, but she is adamant that I still go. The situation with D is that it could be sudden, or lingering. No one can tell, so she felt that I could cancel, but nothing may happen in the week we're away. I can keep in contact quite easily, so feel reassured about that.

Sorry to put my thoughts down on here, but I know lots of you have been in similar situations, so will understand how much it helps.

    Hiya zippy.
    Hope you enjoyed your cruise.
You were away when this was organised. VT and I are going on a cruise at the end of the month:D.I am a cruise virgin:p, and I remember you telling me, when we were in Antigua that time, that I ought to try it, and now I am going to, with the lovely VT.:D
We're keeping the destinations secret, and will post pics each day.
