Thank you for all the advice re wills yesterday. It appears that the proverbial poop has hit the fan anyway. I can't bear it, arguing over money, just money, when an amazing, loving woman has been taken too soon. Seriously, stuff the money, even the amount that is being talked about as every time I used it or went into any property it could buy I would just remember what we lost.
Arrgghh
Have fun, I LOVE Ipswich. We live about 90 miles away now but hubby and son pop up to see the tractor boys as often as finances allow.
We are going to move to Ipswich or a surrounding village in about 8 years once ds1 goes to uni/starts his career.maybe even be in a position to buy and not rent by then.
Families and money grrrrr, there is always one. Try to enjoy your memories of a wonderful lady :A
Back from Ipswich, just a quick in and out. DH went into Sports Direct whilst I browsed, nay, shopped in B & M. Nothing of interest really. New coffee mug for me, bag of Treacle Toffee for me, a pack of Irn Bru for me and 2packs of biscuits for the family. I am so thoughtful :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
red rose Im sure you will love living over in these partsThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -

2 weeks left of the hols and we still have New York, Legoland, Chessington, Longleat Safari Park and a garden party at the estate of a millionaire relative to go to, so I might be quiet for a bit yet.
However, I'm hoping that the new Ristorante pizza deal might be one of the most lucrative scams ever, so I might make a special effort to take part and report my findings. I need the Wednesday M update to happen before I say any more, so roll on lunchtime tomorrow..:D
Must be waiting for supper time

Sorry izzy
but is Hudson a personal butler for LS, I think she could really do with one at the moment. :A
Look, you've had MAJOR surgery on top of not being at all well for a long time ! You are on your own for a lot of the time just when you really need someone around to make sure you are looked after. Its obvious that you are struggling to do even the most basic things and, on top of that, you are trying to cope with all sorts of tubes, bags and leakage . You can't get comfortable and you aren't sleeping so, on top of everything else, you are exhausted ! Stop beating yourself up over the things you can't manage yet, take all the help thats offered (and ask for help when it isn't offered !).
Moan on here as much as you like - with what you've got to deal with you are entitled to have a bloody good moan as often as you feel like it and nobody will think any the less of you. Its early days yet for this type of surgery and things WILL start to get better soon. Also, what help are you getting with grocery shopping and food preparation - you need to make sure you are getting enough proper food .
Have had bloods taken today (traumatic, no veins, cried, she did eventually get one in my hand but said she'd never seen such a slow trickle of blood!). Feeling less down than yesterday, slightly more energy, although not actually been downstairs yet. Had belvita biscuits for brekkie that kids brought me up, then friend came and cooked me 2 crumpets, which were lovely. Will think about going down for lunch soon and just see how I am when I get down there.
Thanks to everyone that has commented. Honestly, you don't know how much it means to me. :A0 -
>Has anyone used Uber ride?
We don't use taxi's much, but my OH needed one for getting back from a party she was going to. When I noticed the Uber thing on TicTac's, I jumped at the opportunity to try.
Install the Uber app on your phone and add the TicTac code.
Use the "get quote" facility to get a rough idea of the price. Our quote was between £18 and £23.
The journey ended up costing £17, so great using this offer :j.
Don't be put off about adding your credit card or paypal details. These are only used if the journey is more than £20.0 -

Absolutely lashing with rain here now..... typical Irish weather!!
Poor dd still has 2 matches.....they play in rain hail or shine.
Just wondering, those who have had c&c orders cancelled upon arrival to collect and then subsequently, their account "temporarily suspended" I have a question.
Even tho they cancelled the order, the amount is still pending on my bank account. I know from previous orders that this is always the case for a few days until they take the payment. I would have thought however that as the order was cancelled by them, the payment would just simply be cleared and no longer hanging in the ether?
I know a few have been in this position. Did you have to ring or did it just clear after a few days as it normally does with c&c?

Thank you. I'm doing online grocery orders. Last week I was shuffling down the stairs and having things like quiche and salad, jacket potato and salad etc. This week I can just about make it downstairs, then all energy gone, so just been having something like a cheese sandwich.

Could the kids make you a sandwich before they go out in the morning and maybe warm you some soup in a flask if you had it upstairs then it could save you the energy of the trip down x0
