Ok, so it would appears there are 10 calls to mobile numbers coming to £4.65 for the 2/7 to 1/8

That would account for most of the charges then. Mobile numbers are not included in the Anytime call package.

    What about the other 35p?
the bill was on a default setting for period starting from 2/8.

Sorry don't understand what you mean by that?

Perhaps you could give the name of your exchange?
  • Clare, Suffolk is the exchange
  • Plusnet says I must raise any issue re market A categorisation with Ofcom myself! The fact there are other Providers at my exchange is apparently of no relevance to them, and it is not their responsibility to check. Happy to take my hefty rental charge though

...Very interesting -my exchange is still listed as Market A/ Market 1 , even with both Sky and TTALK supplying LLU........................ yet Plusnet have "regraded" it themselves:) recently -they gave me a big rebate for last year (as they apparently should have noticed in June 2014!!!!) AND I'm getting effectively free broadband for another year as I'd negotiated a discount in exchange for a 24 month tie in.:)

    So this months invoice shows:
£16.99 PlusNet Unlimited (+ £65.10 termination fee before contract ends 02/16)
As you are still within your minimum contract term Plusnet will almost certainly have no interest in discounting your service. Once out of contract they should price match a competitor (they did for me). Many ISPs will offer services over BT infrastrucure and you already have access to the two biggest LLU providers so you should have no problem finding a price for them to match even if you don't want to go with the provider you found. Price matching will mean a new minimum term.

They will just now as they have just notified everyone of price increases from 2nd September. Provided the OP is still within the 30 days of receiving the email, s/he can leave without penalty.

So did you ask them what they can offer you if you stay as opposed to leaving due to the price increase?

When did you receive your email notifying you of the increases?
  • Very interesting BrewerDave that PlusNet 'regraded' your exchange themselves! So much for you having to take it up with Ofcom yourself! Do you mind me asking which exchange you are on?

I received the email about 10 days notifying me of the price increases and telling me if I so wish I could terminate the contract without any penalties.

I guess the best scenario (as in Dave's case) is that they take responsibility for regrading my exchange, refunding the 'premiums' I have been paying and then offer a much cheaper future deal, in line with operators such as Sky (£16.50 pm for 12 months).

why does this so seem so difficult for PlusNet to do?!!
