Had a lovely dinner thanks Buffy. I have 4 of those awful Meerkat toys, they certainly do not "Spark Joy".
I am thinking of doing a Car Boot sale at some point but no idea what sells well or doesn't. I have loads of clothes that the kids have grown out of and also piles and piles of books.....and 4 meerkats."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
HI
Good luck with your journey!! I do hope you succeed!!
With regards to car boot sales. Anything and everything sells really as long as your prices are reasonable. Don't forget the price of your pitch, around here it is about £10. Plus don't forget to take your own coffee or tea as buying hot drinks will make a dent in what you earn on the day because at our local carboot coffee is £1.60:eek: a cup.
Good luck with everything. I will keep following your thread if that is ok with you!!!!

Thank you for such good advice Edwink. I will definitely be taking a flask with me now!
I was thinking of labelling up almost everything with a price so that people can see without having to ask as that is the bit of car booting that I don't like and would appreciate it myself.
I will also try and keep all my change for a float.

Wednesday already! The week is flying over which means I am getting closer and closer to returning to work. Thankfully this is not filling me with dread but I would really like to get into some sort of routine before I return. Hopefully this diary will help.
Quidco was a nice surprise when I logged in and it looks like the whole £135 should be paid before Christmas so I shall leave it in the Quidco account. Thankfully I do not have many people to buy for and my whole Christmas budget should be no more than £400, actually that does sound a lot now I have written it down! Maybe I need to look at this again...
I did do an inventory of food and it looks like I have enough in the freezer to last until around Tuesday next week apart from fresh stuff such as bread/milk and meat for OH packed lunches. I also only have 2 tea bags left........this could turn into an emergency situation:eek:
Anyway - targets for today.
HEALTH
OH is not at work today so will go off and have a nice long walk somewhere local. DONE but more of a hike than a walk!
Once again I will stick to WW plan as I am seeming to be managing this OK this week (unusual). DONE
WEALTH
Transfer £5 HFX reward from OH bank account into my account to go towards CC. I also get £5 in mine so will do the same with that. DONE
Start to gather stuff for Car Boot sale, I am hoping to make at least £40 but as this is my first one I have no idea how it will go on Sunday. DH is not impressed with the idea.
Check Clubcard points balance. DONE
Update my spreadsheet DONE
HAPPINESS
Clean both bathrooms
Iron and put away laundry (thankfully just a small load today)
Speak to DS on Skype after he gets in from work :heart2:
HAPPY HUMP DAY EVERYONE"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
Well, yesterday turned out to be less of a long walk and more of a trek. We were hill walking for 4 hours:eek: and out for the majority of the day. Bit sore and stiff today but it must have done me some good.
I still managed to achieve a few of my targets from yesterday:
T£sco ClubC points have a £7.50 voucher waiting to be sent. I shall save this a X4 for a meal out with OH at some point.
Well and truly hit my Health targets from yesterday.
Today's targets are:
HEALTH
Yoga stretch to try and work out some kinks from yesterday's hike.
Stick to WW points
WEALTH
Sort some more things to Car boot for Sunday
HAPPINESS
Iron laundry from yesterday and put away
Carry out 1 work task
Have lunch out with work colleague and stick to £7.50 budget
Speak to DS1 on Skype as didn't get chance last night.
Really looking forward to the weekend as will see DS2 :j"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
Hi There is a light, just wanted to thank you for popping over to my diary and to wish you good luck.
I also love the word pottering, also love the word pootleing (actually don't think its a real word):D.
Good luck with the car boot, I hope you make a few quid.

Thanks ICBW. I do believe pootleing is a word and if it isn't it should be!
Welcome to my diary.
Getting ready for lunch and have looked at the menu for where we are going. I think I will come in at £7.80 as a pot of tea is £1.80 and I will have a flatbread for £6.00.
I am picking up/dropping off colleague who lives right next to an ALD1 so will pop in for some fruit as I am totally out.
Ironing/putting away and Yoga done so feeling much less sore.
Toodle pip for now."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
Friday already
I need to be really focussed on my HEALTH goals this week as I had my WW weigh in last night and was 4lbs over my goal weight which means I am perilously close to having to pay for the plan again which I have only just stopped paying for having got to goal before my hols in July.
Having a day sorting out the garden, food shopping and seeking out more car boot stuff.
Goals for today:
HEALTH
Cut my WW points back down to 26 a day and track everything! Also try for lower carb options as I always seem to do better without eating bread. EPIC FAIL
Take a 6 mile walk with OH NOPE
Drink at least 8 glasses of water NOPE
DO NOT BUY WINE!!! DONE
WEALTH
I need to do a grocery shop so will check cupboards and freezer and plan our meals for the week. Aiming for under £50 including OH beer. (don't begrudge this as he rarely goes out with mates). DONE
I have a HAL1FAX clarity CC which we only use when abroad but have noticed it has a £5 bonus balance lying on in so will use that card towards groceries and pay it straight off as soon as it shows up online. DONE
Sort out more Car boot stuff for Sunday DONE
HAPPINESS
Still haven't manage to catch DS1 on Skype so will definitely do that tonight. 2 HOURS
Clean out fridge DONE
Prepare a nice dinner for OH and I and set table."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0
