It's easy to turn off the torrent style usage.
    1. Go to Start, then Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and then select Advanced options.
    2. On the Advanced options page, select Choose how updates are delivered, and then use the toggle to turn Delivery Optimization off. When turned off, you'll still get updates and apps from Windows Update and from the Windows Store.

Along with the other things that need turning off, I'll automate it.

We know you are a Linux freak, so expect some of the paranoid sensationalism, :D but, it's getting a bit over the top now.

OK, so have now solved the Broadcom ethernet driver issue :) so this older HP6710b (orginnally supplied with Vista) is now fully functional on W10.....

...still not as nice as 7, and feels slightly sluggish on boot & shutdown....

    ..more playing required ;):D
    ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

I've an old Amilo Pro propping a door open somewhere that has a pentium M and S3 graphics, might challenge W10 later with that one. Hold very little hope due to the S3 graphics.

Dreadful on Linux too, that's why it's a door stop :)
