Do you think the version on the .co.uk site will be any different to the one on the .com site?

I tried the W10 upgrade on Wednesday, but reverted to W7 on Friday. First niggle was a dolby audio wrong codec, but it seemed to run ok otherwise. My epson printer worked fine, and Thunderbird email worked, but was slow. Then I noticed the start up and shut down were much slower than before, and a pause before starting any software. The last straw was on friday when the screen froze, and mouse and keyboard wouldn't work, and I had to force a shutdown. I am now back to my speedy W7, thanks Microsoft, but no thanks.

Probably not by much, if at all I guess. They they also have version 2016 there which we haven't got here yet.
"The 2016 versions of Kaspersky Lab products are another option for you that we feel is the best one as it supports Windows 10 by design. In some regions new products are available today, in other regions you need to wait a few days"

Luckily I like my stuff fairly streamlined so I haven't got too much pinned to start as it is - just a couple of tiles I'd like to remove - so I'm not too bothered and don't mind waiting for 2016 to officially land here. The important bit to me was finding out what was causing the issue, at least it's an easy fix!

Yes, I too find the startup much slower than 8.1....it seems to spend ages on a blank screen before loading the lock screen. Otherwise mostly OK so far.

I had Kaspersky 2015 but after a bit of research I uninstalled it because it wasn't compatible and decided to wait a bit.

However, I just couldn't stand Windows defender turning itself off for no reason and then needing a restart to turn it back on again so I followed the advice in the Kaspersky forum and installed the 2016 version. No problems so far but keeping fingers crossed!

There's been some mumblings of slow start up on tenforums:

Working well here. So many people don't like change though, and will just complain rather than move on.
And as for the posts with problems, the problems are very real if you have one, but out of the 14 million+ installs, how tiny is the percentage that had them. When all goes well people don't post about it.

I for one like it, and it will get better as more stuff is added in the future. A big update around October time, bringing new features.

When all goes badly people with one computer can't post about it. I wonder how many users have been rendered silent by this latest Microsoft fiasco because their machines are crippled.

Seems the majority of issues are related to legacy AV installs or drivers. TBH, Norton etc. have long been suspects for destabilising machines.

Always a risk with in place upgrades, pity Microsoft never had a true separate user space like 'nix as you can just nuke root with a new install and still have all your settings ready in home. Maybe one day.
