Why does it matter what the verdict is, it is now X days since W10 was "available" and nobody forced all these people to download it. If you want to get rid of W8.x I can't blame you, BUT if you do try the new version in the first few days/months don't moan that if it does not work with your pc that does not have a W10 sticker on it.

I have been trying W10 for months on an old (5yr) laptop and it didn't work like W7 did on the same box. However I have since updated my BIOS(to support W8) and other drivers if it works before why p155 with it until you are prepared to go through the pain/learning curve. Seriously if you want to be at the leading edge of tech try Fedora.

  • I have this same issue but will attempt to sort it before ditching and reverting back to Windows 7

    Issue sorted -

right click start button and choose Command Prompt (Admin)

    type sfc/scannow

restart computer and everythings fine :):j

Just ditched it, emails won't send from Outlook, don't have time to faff around looking for a fix.
    'try thunderbird.

I have seen that, but I'm wanting to do it "by the book" as it were... just to see how good/bad the overall experience is.... I've got several machines along with family/friends who are waiting for me to report on it....

...even if it's peeing me off waiting :rotfl:

the download from there site is the same as you one you will receive eventually , just make sure you d/load the correct version (32 bit or 64 bit)

when it downloads it will offer

    1: upgrade this computer
    2: save to pendrive/dvd
    3:save as iso

you want option 1: , and it will do exactly the same as the one you are waiting for ,

I know, I know....it's tempting, however I really did want to do it as per it was intended....maybe if it hasn't come through by the weekend ;)

I did have issues with pauses etc. However I have just done a clean install (reset via the recovery menu) and put all my progs etc back on and it is all good now. Starts up in well under 10 secs, opens apps instantly.
    No problems yet.
