UPDATE 17 SEPTEMBER 2007. All 200 free copies of the software have now gone but you can still get 50% off the full version of Trend Micro's anti-virus PC prtoection software. See below for more details.
What's the deal?
Software company, Trend Micro, is offering the full version of its internet security package, Trend Micro Internet Security 2007, (usual price £40) for free to the first 200 MoneySavers to sign up or 50% off the full version.
What does it do?
It's a downloadable package that safeguards your PC from virus, adware and spyware that can harm your PC, at worst leaving you open to fraud. It can also be used across three computers.
Features include:
Everyone should have a basic level of protection on their PC but you can do this using free, widely available downloads and software. (See the Kit Out Your PC For Free article for full details on what you should have and where to get it). The more security conscious might want the extra protection it offers.
If you don't blag a free copy
Simply sign up to its newsletter by clicking on the following link:
Why is it doing this?
Many software companies make money from selling to big businesses and gives freebies to promote these products and increase awareness. The same goes for trial products; if you're going to go for the 30 day free trial make sure you switch and ditch when it expires and move to one of the free downloads.
For full info, tips and tricks read the Kit Out Your PC For Free article.

I'm guessing that the link posted here is monitored directly and seperately as it's a little different from the standard link used for subscriptions. So they can monitor the first 200 subscriptions to the newsletter and they will in turn be contacted with the serial number and download details

Fret not - They will cough up the free subscriptions and they will honour the offers posted
The guy there is an MSE fan and I used to work indirectly for them (no financial association) and getting these freebies took us a while
It's a good software, the support is good and for 200 people... it'll be free
jfyi I no longer work indirectly or otherwise for Trend so when I say it's good stuff I really mean it. I don't get anything for saying it - directly or otherwise.
Enjoy!
