Been helping a friend today, sorting out her first paypal account, emails and a few other bits.

I have been making a bit of money, but also doing MS, reports that take hours to complete, comping to try andwin a holiday, cash etc.

Struggling to find time to post. Yesterday evening I didn't go on computer, just vegged and Watched TV
's okay. Sounds like you've been really busy my friend and realise you have DS on holiday. It must be difficult to do it all.

I was just a bit surprised that's all.

    Hope everyone else okay

  • Hello :hello:
Im here too, just late as usual :)

Sold something on Ebay today which is collection only, stated in ad cash on collection. The buyer paid instantly by PP and then emailed to say that they wouldnt be collecting it until after the 1st of the month. :( This just really annoyed me  Is it just me being petty ?
Anyway I have decided to try and see the positives, a large outdoor item out of the way (well in two weeks) and cash already in the bank :o

So a very lovely £56.09 taking me to £130.13 this month :j:j

Oh and I found 10p today and have popped that in the change jar :)

Still have the Prolific survey to complete, must do that tomorrow.

:hello: (voice echoing in this almost empty place:eek:). I think you hit the nail on the head, Lynne, when you said it's difficult for Aesop to do it all at the moment. A lot of the thread members probably have child-care to deal with during the school holidays plus loads of other stuff like going away on holiday. When do you go away, by the way? I remember you telling us about some bargain undies you bought for your hols but can't recall reading anything about you going. Still not bought my new undies by the way, situation now getting desperate:o. Just hope I don't get knocked over by a bus anytime soon:eek:

Just checking in to say hi and to congratulate people who have made any money. Brilliant result for you esbm:j, you've every right to feel pleased.

Princess, I don't think you're being petty at all. Similar thing happened to me once, just made me feel really annoyed as I wanted the stuff gone. Plus, I specifically wanted cash too not Paypal and they ignored that too:mad:. Still, at least you are sure of the money, it's not just a case of you being stuck with the item and the buyer having a change of heart and never turning up to collect.

Zilch for me this week but a car boot sale planned for Sunday if it doesn't rain again. Nowhere near target this month though. Survey redemptions in pipeline but no sign of the money yet so won't add it yet. Lost my mojo a bit, just feel tired but no idea why:(

    Keep at it, everyone:beer:

This just really annoyed me  Is it just me being petty ?

Nope - you're being human! Similar happened to me last week. Sold a lovely oil lamp after several attempts, clearly marked as collection only. I declined several polite emails in advance asking if I would post (I simply don't have the time or inclination to take responsibility for such a fragile item right now!!), had to cancel one bid by someone 100 miles away who ignored this and bid anyway, then had to deal with a winning bidder who didn't get in contact until 3 requests and a week later, who paid by paypal and then said they wanted to know if I would post!! I'd even added a capital lettered addition to the listing explaining that after several polite requests, I wanted to make it clear posting was NOT an option. In the end I gave them 12hrs to confirm they'd be coming to get it or the whole transaction would be cancelled. Guess what...I still have the lamp. Siggggh, I was actually tamping mad. Theres an etiquette to eBay as far as I'm concerned and it really winds me up when people ignore it. Ergo, you are not alone!

Anyway, enough of the irritable pregnant woman ranting, £57.12 sales to add taking me very close to target. Happy with that, at least :rotfl:
    £10 a day 2017 - APR £60.12 / MAR £82.24 / FEB £142.82 / JAN £241.24

Yes, I can vaguely remember how busy school holidays used to be when mine were smallies :)

We go away on September 17th, which is four weeks yesterday (not that I'm counting of course) :rotfl:

Hope you do well at your car-boot. Maybe your 'mojo' is away on holiday with mine as I feel the same atm. Maybe you need a holiday as well ??

    Thanks, Lynne:T

Holiday! What's that? So long since I went on one I've forgotten what they are:o. Certainly no money for one this year or probably even next:(

  • Thanks carbootcrazy & Surfchik80 :)
Ebay can be so annoying sometimes but I have alot of items to get listed over this weekend so I had better grin and bear it :o

Got a £10 credit on Artfinder today which Aesop mentioned on last months thread I think. One of my referrals has made a purchase so I now have £22 credit on there :T

Still have the Prolific 2nd part survey to complete :o
