. Wow - just realised that means I've achieved my target!
I was tidying yesterday and came across the 2 big bags of spring / summer clothes that I was planning to sell on eBay - I'm wondering whether it's worth trying to sell them so late in the summer. What do you seasoned eBay people think?
It is a little late for summer eBay especially as the sales are now on. I would be tempted to hang on to them until next year but if you want to try them perhaps make sure you dont tick the relist box just keep back what doesn't sell. Good luck what ever you decide.Nov 0/£100

I hope you're all having a good weekend and the sun is shining on you:j
Congratulations to anyone who has made any money lately.
Somerandom, the clothes selling/buying situation is really crazy. I think it's because shops/catalogues etc have their new season stuff in weeks before that season really starts. I once took a fantastic designer woollen cape (which had been given to me and worn only once before) to a local dress agency to sell on commission. It was December and there was thick snow on the ground. The owner refused to take it because they had started their Spring display and, sure enough, the windows etc were full of flimsy dresses and such like:rotfl:. It wasn't even Christmas!
Just done a car boot sale and cleared £71.20 profit which I'm really chuffed about (apart from the money) because I cleared a huge pile of jigsaws (amongst other stuff) out of our spare bedroom and can now actually see the colour of the carpet for the first time in about a year:j. One day I might be clutter-free, though it will be a good while yet:o
Have a great money-making week, everyone:beer:0 -
Hello everyone
Just realised that I haven't posted at all this month! We are still in chaos at home and have been busy painting etc - still no kitchen but hopefully sorted before end of month.
Well done on your car boot today carbootcrazy! I did one too and made £62 and a bit of a dent in the clutter
Apart from that I have £5 from Halifax ... And that's it. £67 hmmm must try harder. I have done some prolific academic surveys which as everyone has said are interesting and quite good rates but my laptop is poorly at the moment and some of the studies don't like my iPad
I'm finding swagbucks has slowed right down since the changes too as I was doing quite well on that. I still have a pile of books/DVDs/games/CDs to sort through and send off and Ziffit sent me a code for 10% off today so I may try to do that this afternoon but first I need a power nap!
Well done to everyone who is making money

That's crazy :rotfl: I'd better put a note in my diary to get those clothes back out of the loft at Christmas then :rotfl:

Morning all!
Well I worked out why my Prolific monies had all disappeared..... I somehow had two accounts! I had a lot of trouble with sign up if you remember and as I have two email addresses coming into one gmail box I didn't spot the error. What a silly beggar. On its way to being sorted now thankfully.
Bit of a blow on Friday, the DVLA are refusing to refund two months of car tax payments made after I sold our car by direct debit (we were advised at the time that the direct debit would be cancelled their end and funds refunded as soon as they received and processed notification that the car had been transferred). They now say they never received notification although I'm not sure how given that it was in the same envelope the new keeper for the new car was in and that was processed within two weeks and a new V5 sent out. Humph.
I've written a litter challenging it as it was nearly 36 pounds I was expecting.
On the upside..... it's a new week!MSE-ing since 20070 -
Hi all
Thats not so good of the DVLA is it Nicki_Sue - it took me ages to get my refund and their excuse was 'Well because you renewed your tax and then sold your car in the same month it didn't get processed!!'. Just keep at it I say, you will get it.
Some of you seem to be really good at this, I am not sure I know exactly what to count but here is where I am up to:-
I have done a few surveys but again get screened out and haven't actually earned enough to draw any money out so I haven't counted these for now however....
Saved - £4.50 on a Currys purchase through a work scheme
Coupons at Sainsburys - saved £12.50 on a 'big shop'
Nectar - used points to make a £15.00 purchase
Ebay sale after fees £5.29
Total appears to be £37.29 - if I am doing it right.
In the meantime I have also done the following but not added them to my total as they are not cashed out yet:-
COS £2.85
Shopitize £1.30
Click snap £1.50
Oh and also i just called Sainsburys because I was expecting a Brand Match Voucher at the till and didn't get one. I queried the fact that 2 of the products were listed as 'not comparable' yet I could order them via Mysupermarket and along with a couple of other 'query' prices they said they can't see the brand match details at their end but would put £5.00 on my Nectar as a gesture.
not sure I am going to become a millionaire:rotfl: Could do with a couple of ebay sales to boost my sales.Nov 0/£100

I know I am 17 days late but can I join please? I have been AWOL for a long time and I have a £154.03 outstanding balance on a credit card (not my total debt but it's a start!!) which would fit in perfect with this challenge. I really need some motivation and this challenge is one of my favourites. ThanksMake £10 a day, October 2023 - £105/£3100

Morning all!
Well, I've writtena firm but fair letter to the DVLA re my refund so we'll see.
Must be the week for car both though as the darn thing wouldn't start yesterday for the husband to get to work. The kicker..... a new starter motor and a new battery. That stung! The MOT is next month and apparently the mechanic's only comment on that was "the car is looking pretty tired".
Ho Ho Ho!
That was yesterday, today is another day.
Have a good one!MSE-ing since 20070 -
It's really slow month for my first month but I'll keep plodding on as every helps no matter how much it is.
Got another £2.35 on Shopitize last week and another 20p on cos for uploading my receipts so another £2.55 to add to the pot.Former Debt free wannabe. Now trying to save for a rainy day!0
