Hi everyone, another sfd for me.
I was up at 5.45!!!!! So bed early tonight I think especially as I have a fasting blood test in the morning!!!
Dgd dad came for her this am so I took a couple of cards into old work place and caught up on the gossip there, it happens there lol!!then I called on an old friend who I have neglected recently and we have arranged some shopping (not me though) and lunch out (his treat) so looking forwards yo that after the blood test, may go to Buxton as I haven't been there for an age.
Getting better at mindfulness over a very short period, the kettle boiled really quickly so it wasn't too difficult, so tomorrow will try it when cleaning my teeth or something similar I think.
Anyway better go got to check on my pots in the garden although they should be ok as it rained enough yesterday.

Today I claim my first NSD - yay! And the high life included going to church, not hoovering (dh did it!!), getting the washing done, sorting out the paddling pool and filling about 7 bin bags wih green waste - it was good to be out in the sun.
And today I am grateful for trying out mindfulness as the expresso pot did its thing, for sunshine, for chilling out with dh and dd, for my secateurs, for plots and plans and ponderations about the future.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Sorry about not checking in yesterday. In a campsite with the bongo and the internet was not fantastic.
Spend-free day on the first so that was one. Spendy day today as e went to Aldi where we bought a few things.
Today was the local raft race (it was brilliant). Lots of charity stalls, mainly to do with the local air force. As a result, we have contributed about £20 to several charities (mum and me). It was for raffles but we didn't win anything. Hope that still counts.
Back home now as OH heads back to work tomorrow. How I wish we could just be on holiday all the time. Might have to check out this FIRE thing once the debt is gone.
Hugs to everyone.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

He everyone!
Been a work day for me today which has helped to keep spends to a minimum but not completely spend free unfortunately. Spent £1 on some bakery bread to go with the soup I had made. Budgets are currently:
Fuel - 0/£120
Groceries - £1/£200
Days out - 0/£200
Business - £44.17/£100
Have had a discussion with dh and we have agreed to make the most out of the free museums etc when we are away at the end of this week and eat take away in the hotel room instead of going out for an evening meal. This should hopefully keep spends to a minimum.
Managed a few seconds mindfulness today, but finding it difficult to manage in a busy house! It's something I was introduced to at exam time in uni and I found it useful at the time so will keep going with it.0 -
SFD number 2 today
Got one coat of paint on the lounge walls but not sure it needs another, will decide tomorrow.
I'm not sure if it's mindfulness but I've started trying to categorise my thoughts using the idea of clouds. If it's a thought that I will come back to, I imagine it floating away in a cloud, if it's a thought that is difficult or painful, I put it in a box until later, and if it's a thought that I really need to let go of, I imagine it floating up and away inside a balloon. Not sure if this makes any sense to anyone else but it feels like it helps me deal with all the things constantly running through my brain.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Good morning Turtles
How is it Monday again already? My weekend off went very quickly.
Never mind! Should get my first NSD today as it will be back to the usual routine. Will also pay off some money tonight when I get home from work, as many of the essential bills go out today and I can start to see more clearly what is left for debt busting.
Have a good day everyone!
Bob
P.S Mothernerd - sorry I didn't reply about you being a fellow no hols in a while turtle. I think for myself I have said next summer is the longest I want to leave it. I do genuinely want a nice break. Should be doable next year. How about you will selling the house give you a good goal to aim for in that way?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Monday again. We had a lovely weekend, the tv was hardly on and we spent lots of good time together. Maybe there is a connection to be made there...? Dh has gone to work and I have some peaceful time before dd awakes.
Off to sit with a coffee and ponder. Have a good Monday!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Morning everyone
lots of people getting some early SFDs in, really good to see! Fmess, it makes sense to me - you can't ignore the thoughts because they come back stronger, but you can "park" some of them for later, I think that's fab. WelshKitty, glad you found mindfulness useful at exam time, it can be really good to help with stress.
Today should be a NSD for me too, at work all day and then at a gig tonight but parking is free and we won't need any drinks or anything. I hope everyone has a good Monday, and that you all manage to find a bit of space in your day to breathe and remember why you're doing thisBought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free!
